Dear Pastor, Youth Pastor, and Youth Leaders,

We are excited for what God has in store for Midwest Youth Camp 2014! We would like to invite
your churchs youth group to return, or come be a part of our camp for the first time. It is our
honor to once again host Midwest Youth Camp. We are joyfully anticipating seeing souls saved
and teens being challenged to fully use their lives for Gods glory.

We are humbled and excited that churches want to come and participate in our camp ministry
from year to year. We hope that all the churches that come to Midwest Youth Camp agree with
our basic philosophy of youth camp. We ask that the pastor sign our church camp covenant and
submit it along with the registration forms on Sunday Evening.

We believe a good church youth camp program should:
1. Uphold sound Bible preaching and teaching by striving to communicate the Word
effectively to the campers in a variety of ways.
2. Emphasize spiritual activities above all others.
3. Minister to the campers where they are, while submitting to the Holy Spirit and allowing
Him to bring about lasting change in their future rather than simply an emotionally-
driven decision at camp.
4. Encourage the ministry of the youth pastor and sending church by providing
opportunities for the church group to stay together and be led by their own counselors.
5. Strive to provide fun activities for all campers through the use of recreational activities
and competitive athletic events.
6. Understand that the programs will change from year to year as necessary to enhance the
camping week and effectively minister to a changing youth culture.
7. Deal with problems in a timely Biblical manner by holding all campers and counselors
accountable for their actions.

We will be taking our questions for the Bible Quiz this year from Romans, Chapters 11-16. Our
approach to the Bible Quiz this year will be quite different than in past years. This year we will
provide teaching, learning and study materials. A letter of instruction and explanation can be
found on our website under the forms section. The goal of the quiz is to help teenagers better
know their God, delight in Him and be encouraged to build their life upon His Perfect Word.

Please help by encouraging your teens to participate in the Talent competitions. The
competitions consist of individual and group singing, instrumentals, boys preaching, girls
teaching and others. The goal of the competitions is not for individual glory or recognition, but
rather it is an opportunity to learn, and bring glory to God, by worshiping him with the gifts that
they have been given.

Our website www.midwestyouthfellowship.org, contains all the necessary forms and info for
camp. For the purpose of good stewardship, I am posting all of the forms that you will need
online, please have all of this filled out and ready when you arrive at camp for registration. The
forms can be found by clicking on the Camps tab at the top of the page and then click on forms.

On our website you will also find a link to our facebook page where you will find videos and
updated info about camp.

We are excited to inform you that God has graciously allowed us to continue to improve the
camp property and facilities. We are still rejoicing in all of our bunking facilities being air-
conditioned, a huge improvement over where we were just a short time ago. The new Zip-Line
installed just a couple of years ago continues to be a hit and we look forward to using it again
this year. Last year we were able to add a brand-new bunking area for the boys above the Old
Dining Hall area consisting of 50 beds as well as new showers, new sinks and new toilets! The
Lord has continued to bless the camp allowing us to enclose Tracy Tabernacle and look forward
to a service without wasps and birds! Praise the Lord for the improvements that continue to be
made.

It would be a tremendous help if you would please fill out and send in your pre-registration
form by June 13. I understand that numbers change at the last minute but the sooner you are
able to send this in the better. This form can be found on our website and filled out
electronically. Please plan to arrive at camp Sunday evening after 5:00pm in order to facilitate
our schedule and give us a full day on Monday. When you arrive please go to the Cafeteria for
check-in.

I am very excited about the theme of our camp GOSPEL REVOLUTION. In Romans 1:16 the
Apostle Paul proclaims that he is not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God
unto salvation to everyone that believeth. The message of the Gospel is Gods power that takes
a person who is spiritually dead and separated from God by their own inherent sin, and gives
them new life through the blood of Christ, reconciling them to God (1 John 1:7)! For which we
can rejoice with Paul in Romans 8:1 that there is therefore now no condemnation to them
which are in Christ Jesus. The Gospel revolutionizes everything! The message of the Gospel
motivates and makes possible the opportunity for every genuine follower of Christ to grow and
change and love God with all their heart, soul and mind. Let us pray that camp this year glorifies
God by exalting Jesus Christ the one who bore Gods wrath and shed His blood for our sin upon
the Cross. Let us pray that the Spirit of God would work in hearts as the Word of God is preached
and taught, that He would be magnified as many obediently and joyfully respond to Him.

We are thrilled to have Tim Long as our speaker this year. Tim recently came off the field as a
missionary to a Muslim country, a Restricted Access Nation. He has a strong desire to see people
from every tribe, nation and tongue become followers of Jesus Christ. Brother Tim knows the
risk and the cost of the Gospel, as well as its revolutionizing and saving power. We can look
forward with anxious anticipation to hearing the Word of God faithfully preached and
expounded.

If you are considering attending Midwest Youth Camp for the first time, or you have any other
questions, please do not hesitate to contact me by phone or email.

God will do His part; lets be challenged to do ours.

In eager anticipation,
