PURPOSE
The purpose of this document is to provide the project data and design criteria for
220 kV transmission lines of the electric supply for Antamina Project.
2.00
PROJECT DATA
The objective of the project is to provide electric supply to the Antamina Mine area
during the construction and the further operation of the Mining and Metallurgical
Complex.
The electric supply will be at 220 kV level from the new Vizcarra Substation to be
located along the existing Tingo Mara Paramonga Nueva transmission line. The
final point of the installations at 220 kV will be at the Antamina Substation, located
ay the mine site. The capacity of the transmission line will be 120 MW at 0,95
power factor.

The minimum values between phases will be checked at the middle of the span
according with the formula of VDE standards (0210/12,85).
a =k
f + l k + S AM
where:
a = clearances between phases [m]
k = constant according the phase configuration, material and size
SAM = constant according with the voltage. It must be corrected for the altitude
f = sag at the middle of the span [m]
lk = string length [m]

220 kV TRANSMISSION LINES STEEL LATTICE STRUCTURES AND LOADING CALCULATIONS
The design and calculation of the lattice structures will be for the loading
combinations in order to achieve the worst conditions. The loads to be included are
the following.
Normal Operation will be for all the temperature, wind and ice loading and
overloading conditions as indicated for the conductors and overhead ground wire.
The wind pressure will be 120 kg/m. It will be assumed either longitudinal or
transversal to the line axis. Faults Condition will be for broken cable either one
conductor or one ground wire. The seismic condition will be simulated with
fictitious wind loading.
The design of the Lattice Structure will carry out with the following safety factor.
For normal loading
For exceptional loading (fault condition)
