‘Brisbane film makers collaborate on horror flick ’
 The title Sleeper originated with the idea of the lead character psychopath
Adam Taylor being so mentally disturbed, that the prison guards had to make
him sleep during the day to stop torturing the other prisoners.
 Sleeper will star Logan City actor Kym Jackson who appeared in Scooby Doo
(2002) and is currently based in Los Angeles.
 University student Baker will be played by Drew Jarvis a presenter on

Channel 9 children’s show The Shack.
 Sleeper has been in production since late 2007 and will begin shooting in
April/May on location around South East Queensland.
 Seven 8 Media consists of Producer Judd Tilyard, Director Andrew Brown

and Executive Producer Christian McCarty who bring together a wealth of
experience, having worked on projects for The History Channel, HBO and
MGM.

Filmmakers set to wake the living dead
A group of Brisbane filmmakers are set to impress the film industry with a story taking
audiences through a terrifying psychological thrill ride.
Local media production company Seven 8 Media will be producing Sleeper.
Seven 8 Media director and producer Drew Brown said Sleeper is a story full of violence,
terror and suspense.
“Sleeper is a modern take on the teen slasher genre following a psychopathic murderer
Adam Taylor who has a history of psychological problems,” he said.
“Adam manages to use brute strength to break out of prison to complete his last bloody
mission.”
Mr Brown said Brisbane is the prefect backdrop for Sleeper.
“Brisbane has so many unnerving potentially terrifying locations, we are taking full
advantage of the traditional old Queensland houses, industrial factories and bush land,”
he said.
“With so much independent film being shot in Melbourne and Sydney we thought it was
Brisbane’s turn, as it has the potential for great screen play, it will certainly put
Queensland’s capital city in the spotlight.”
Sleeper has been in development since 2007 and shooting begins this April.
“Sleeper is expected to be completed this year, we have such an experienced cast with
credits being in theater, films and television,” he said.
“Brisbane actor Drew Jarvis would be the most well known he plays the scientist Curio in
children’s television show The Shack,”
“Internationally wise we have Kym Jackson who will be guest starring soon in CSI, she
has one of the main lead roles,
“Our ambition is to aim high, Sleeper has the potential to be successful within both the
Australian and international film industry.”

Sleeper is a story of torment set amid a backdrop of suspense, terror

STORYLINE
In the manner of Jon Carpenter’s horror classic Halloween, Sleeper focuses on the
psychological torment of a young woman by monstrous psychopath.
Sleeper is a modern take on the teen slasher genre, incorporating realism and suspense to
create a terrifying psychological thrill ride.
CAST
Sleeper boasts an international cast of professional talent whose credits span film,
television, and theatre.
Various cast members have appeared in Scooby Doo, CSI, The Starter Wife, and The
Shack, and performed with the Queensland Shakespeare Company.
SHOOTING LOCATIONS
Sleeper will be filmed at locations including Griffith University Nathan Campus,

Paddington and Gumdale Brisbane.

CAST
Kelly – Kym Jackson
Born in the UK, Kym and her family moved to Logan City,
Australia when she was 3 years old.
She appeared in her first Hollywood feature Scooby Doo in

2002, and has been working consistently in the U.S. since
then.
Most recently she appeared in Shakespearean adaptation

Richard III, the Sci-Fi film Transmorphers, and the yet to be
released drama 365 Days.
Kym is currently based in L.A.
Molloy – Ty Hungerford
Ty was born in Gibraltar and raised in Texas. His father was Ty

Hardin, star of the 1950’s Western series Bronco Lane. His
family moved to Australia where Ty joined the army, but
eventually followed in his father’s footsteps and pursued a career
in acting.
Ty has played the lead in The Stiched and appeared in many other
feature films, including The Condemned, Crocodile Dundee 3,
Samurai Noodles, and Attack of the Queen.
He played a role in the TV Series Beastmaster, and is featured on

many local commercials and short films. He is currently writing
his first feature film script 26 Symptoms.
Raynor – Nick Cooper
Nick has been acting since 2002. He is based on the Gold Coast
and has acted in many short films and commercials. He has
appeared in Brisbane feature films such as Mosaic, and The First
Step.
Most recently he played a major supporting role in Punishment,

to be released later this year.
He has also worked in theatre. For nearly two years he worked in
Sydney with the Genesian Theatre Company as a major role in
Hamlet.
Baker – Drew Jarvis

Drew is a presenter on Channel Nine Children’s Show The Shak.
He has appeared in many Brisbane-based short films, but hails

from a background in theatre – most recently appearing in The
Return By Reg Cribb at the Brisbane Arts Theatre. Drew majored
in ‘Theatre and Writing’ at Griffith University and maintains a
special interest in improvisation.
He was nominated for ‘Best Male Lead’ at the Queensland New

Filmmaker Awards 2007.
Josh – Adam Fawnes
Adam Fawnes is a familiar name in Brisbane short film circles,

having appeared in more that thirty short films since 2005.
His dedication to the genre culminated in 2006 when he was

named ‘Best Male Actor’ in the 48 Hour Film Project, Brisbane.
His feature roles include All my Friends are Leaving Brisbane
and Sweet F.A. He also made a brief appearance on the second
season of Sea Patrol, along with various commercials and music
videos.
Toby – Matt Scully
Matt was born and bred in Queensland but spent several years in
schooling in Papua New Guinea. After developing an interest in
drama at Brisbane Boys College he spent three years studying at
Queensland Actors Playhouse.
He then went on to attend classes by LA casting agent Tom

McSweeney.
He has played guest roles on both The Starter Wife and H2O. He
has appeared on local commercials and numerous short films – most
notably Stray Boys.
Dwayne – Ray Sinclair
Ray spent several years as a diver in the Royal Navy and more
than a decade at the School of Practical Philosophy before
pursuing work in acting.
He has studied with the Renaissance Theatre Company and

Queensland Shakespeare Company and appeared in a selection of
television, film and theatre.
His feature film credits include Sweet F.A. and Vigilante. Most
recent short films include Through Different Eyes which was
selected for the New York Independent Film Festival.
Heather – Nicole Payten
Nicole started dancing at the age of five, and has always had a
passion for acting.
She has been professionally acting since 19, and appeared in

Hollywood film George of the Jungle II. She has also worked
on a number of independent films. This is the third project
Nicole has worked with the director Andrew Brown after
appearing in Captain Sensible and Posse.
She is also an experienced children’s TV presenter, having

worked on Channel Nine’s New MacDonald’s Farm, and touring Australia with The
Boogie Woogies.
Sarah – Pauline Egan
Pauline is a singer, dancer, model, and actor. She has appeared in

numerous TV commercials and has a strong background in TV
presenting.
Pauline has appeared in feature films such as Crooked Business,

Paranoia and Out of Control.
