On Sunday, April 6th, student leaders facilitated a night of prayer, worship, and time to be still before the Lord.

Pause centered around Ecclesiastes 5, where it is written So let my words be few.! People came and e"perienced a time of blessing, laying down burdens, lifting up re#uests for others, and ta$ing another step in their faith wal$. At the entrance, they were as$ed to remo%e their shoes, as &od as$ed of 'oses from the burning bush. (t was a way to position oneself, and to prepare for entering &od)s presence. Oil water then washed the hands, and ears were blessed with words from a brother or sister in *hrist. (n the ne"t room posters were hung, directing the attention of attenders to &od and ways in which they could worship +im. ,oel -oust considered the e"perience, .he layout was really good how they lead you through certain things before you got into the chapel. (t definitely felt li$e a place of worship. Personally, it felt li$e you could ha%e your own interaction with &od. (t didn)t feel li$e you were drowning in a lot of people. (t felt li$e you could ha%e your own one/on/one worship e"perience with +im.! -rom here, people were lead into a time of e"periential worship, channeling all the senses. .aste and see that the Lord is good,! that life can be bitter, that &od gi%es sweet things. -eel this, and lay down your troubles. 0now that &od is shaping you as a Potter shapes clay. Smell this, and $now your life is a fragrant offering. See these pictures, and rest in the e%eryday blessings of this world, small and large. (sac E%enson, one of the worship team drummers, commented, .he %ibe of the entire e%ent was %ery worship/filled but %ery leisurely. (t wasn)t forced, but also could be %ery intense and heart/ opening.! 1orship through song was continuous in the chapel, and could be heard in e%ery area of Pause. Lights were strung abo%e and students were scattered about the room, lifting their hearts to &od. An artist filled a blan$ rectangle with meaning centered on *hrist)s wor$ on the cross. Scripture was read2 hearts were filled. (n the bac$, feet were washed, belo%ed ser%ing belo%ed. And along the side, communion was offered, drawing people bac$ to the reason the gathering e%er too$ place. As +aily 3nferdorfer said, (t was interesting to get to see so many different types of people and so many %erses to focus on in prayer. ( felt li$e because of that there was something for e%eryone. .he different types of worship were ama4ing. (t was cool to see people ta$e ownership and lead out with worship. ( really feel li$e it united us as a campus.! -inals are approaching. School is piling up. 5et we pause together in fellowship with one purpose and one faith. .o li%e is *hrist.
