ECOSECURITY ENERGY HARVESTING THROUGH FOOTSTEPS USING PIEZOELECTRIC STANDARDS

Ecological security is an important basis of the entire human security system. Since Industry revolution, human began to suffer from many kinds of pollution and ecosystem degradation, such as air pollution, water pollution, soil loss and degradation, etc. The need to generate electricity is the demand for todays life because of the fact that even if the planet doubles the amount of solar and wind power available, there would still be a shortage of clean electricity. Comparison of different forms of commercial power generation by use of the fuel cycle methods developed in European studies shows that the health burdens are extreme in areas where power stations (based on coal, Ignite, and oil) are situated as they pollute the outdoor air to large extent therefore one has to overcome this state. The Proposed work approaches in a direction to overcome the above said problem by utilizing the pressure produced by footsteps for generation of electricity using IEEE SA 176-1987, as this standard is a withdrawn so the same work can be proceeded using EN 50324-1:2002 (Piezoelectric properties of ceramic materials and components - Part 1: Definitions and classifications), EN 50324-2:2002 (Piezoelectric properties of ceramic materials and components - Part 2: Methods of measurement and properties - low power) , EN 50324-3:2002 (Piezoelectric properties of ceramic materials and components - Part 3: Methods of measurement - high power).

The idea behind selecting IEEE SA 176-1987 Standard was that it determines Elastic, Piezoelectric and Dielectric constants which are the core properties of the work it also shows crystallography applied to piezoelectric crystals and wave and vibration theory. EN 50324-1:2002 has been chosen as it has wide application in transmission of signals in communication electronics, EN 50324-2:2002 can have widely differing shapes and may be employed in a range of vibrational modes .The polycrystalline nature of ceramics, statistical fluctuations in composition and the influence of the manufacturing process, result in specified material coefficients being typical mean values. These values are provided for design information.

EN 50324-3:2002 standard relates piezoelectric transducer ceramics for power application over a wide frequency range both as electromechanical or mechanoelectrical converters. Piezoelectric materials can bring revolutionary change in the World of Electricity as it works on the principle of Pressure and generates electricity. Piezoelectric effect can be implemented in crowded areas like Bus Station, Railway Stations, Malls and Footpaths of Metro-Politian cities by utilizing the pressure created by footsteps to generate electricity. Water pressure developed through tubewell and waterfall can also be utilized to vibrate the piezoelectric crystal. The Aim of project is to develop electricity at low cost. The working is based on the concept of capturing the unused energy, surrounding any system and converting it into electrical energy that can be used to extend the lifetime of that system by providing energy through backup. The piezoelectric plates will be placed under the non-conducting material (graphite marble) and the pressure created by the footsteps will produce energy which can be stored and utilized as mentioned.
