TODAY Welcome! This morning Pastor Steve continues his sermon series called Songs for the Journey The Psalms of Ascent (120-134). In the evening, Intern Micah Shin preaches a sermon on Psalm 42 called Hope in God. 11:00 AM Sunday School 5:30 PM Evening Service THIS WEEK Tuesday Young Ladies Bible Study @ 7:00 PM Sprik Home Wednesday Midweek Ministries @ 7:00 PM HCS Thursday- Holland Rescue Mission Service @ 7:00 PM - HRM OFFERING This Sundays Benevolent Offering - Our benevolent offering will be received today during both services for the Deacons Fund. Currently the deacons fund is at $3,018.53. The deacons have set a goal of $5,000.00 for this fund in order to have adequate resources available to help those in need. Your gifts to this fund enable the deacons to help your brothers and sisters at Cedar. ANNOUNCEMENTS Coffee Lounge with Pastor Steve - Sign up today! Reception of New Members Cedar session is pleased to announce that on May 4 we will receive Phil & Stacey Faber as communicant members by letter of transfer from Little Farms OPC along with their sons Micah, Silas, Eli, and Joey. ANNOUNCEMENTS Sunday School & Small Group Schedule - Our last day of Sunday School is May 4. After a break in May, the summer semester begins June 1 and runs through August 10. Midweek ministries end on May 7 and will resume in the fall. Cadet Sunday On Sunday, May 11, the Cadets will take a special part in our service. We will recognize them before the service and a special offering will be taken for the ministry of Cedars Cadet program. Please note the change in date from earlier communications. Graduation Sunday On Sunday, May 18th, Cedar Church will recognize our graduating high school seniors during the morning service with a special gift Bible. Graduating high school seniors this year are Cayte Baker and Megan Himebook. Our post high graduates include Rachel Himebook (Medical Massage Therapy Certification from Blue Heron Academy), Carmen Van Dyke (Doctor of Physical Therapy from Northwestern), and Daniel Van Dyke (Masters in Library Science from Northwestern). Please offer your heartiest congratulations to these students. Next Months Fellowship Lunch Due to Mothers Day on the second Sunday of the month, the fellowship lunch will be held onMay 18th, the third Sunday of May. OPC Family Camp Please plan to register for a wonderful time of fellowship and refreshment at our 19th Annual OPC Family Camp of the Michigan-Ontario Presbytery, held at Camp Concordia in southwest Michigan, August 4-8. Our registration deadline is July 29, but we have an early bird discount available to all campers who register by May 19. Campsites and cabins are assigned on a first come, first served basis. Space is limited, so sign up early. If you have questions, call the Harvest OPC office at 261-0327 or email secretary@harvestopc.org. Registration forms are available today on the literature table.

COMMUNITY ANNOUNCEMENTS Volunteer Opportunities at Love INC - The Sorting Warehouse at Love INC is looking for individuals to volunteer either a halfday or full day any day of the week. Individuals who enjoy organizing and sorting items would be a great fit for this position. The Clothing Ministry at Loves Treasures is also looking for individuals to volunteer on Mondays and Wednesdays. Training will be provided. If you are interested in learning more, contact Tonia at toniaw@loveinthenameofchrist.org. Do you enjoy budgeting? Love INC is looking for individuals or couples to volunteer as a budget coach for the Love INC LOVING HELP Program. Budget Coaches work one-on-one with individuals or couples two hours a week. If you are interested or have questions please contact Diane or Mary with the LOVING HELP Program at 616-662-3300 for more information ZCS Music Program - Zion Christian School Spring Music Program will take place on Thursday, May 8, at 7:00 PM at 1st Byron Christian Reformed Church. Please join us in praising God! Volunteer Opportunities at Jehovah Jireh Ministries - JJM is currently in need of help in 3 specific areas. We need able bodied young men to help sort & move food on Friday late morning, early afternoon, help doing food pickups on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings, help sorting food Wednesday afternoons and we need a receptionist for Saturday morning distribution.

A NURSERY is available near the entrance of the gymnasium, but children are always welcome in the worship service.
