3. Using
the
video
out
(Brown,
Red
&
Yellow)
cable
that
was
supplied
with
the
Phantom
Upgrade
board,
expose
the
Brown
(ground)
&
Yellow
(Video)
wires
roughly
1.5cm
in
length
at
the
bare
end
of
the
cable
opposite
end
to
connector.
Bend
the
Red
(Active)
cable
back
out
of
the
way
and
keep
out
of
the
way
with
electrical
tape.

*Red
(Active)
is
not
required
when
using
the
DJI
5.8gHz
Av
system.
4.
Cut
the
deans
connector
off
of
the
DJI
5.8gHz
AV
system
and
expose
the
two
wires
roughly
0.5cm
in
length.
Clearly
identify
which
is
active
&
which
is
ground.
Ground
will
be
identified
as
the
cable
that
has
a
grey
stripe
running
the
length
of
the
cable.
Active
will
be
the
solid
black
cable.

5. Feed
both
the
power
cable
and
the
Video/Ground
cable
of
the
DJI
5.8gHz
system
into
one
of
the
entry
holes
at
the
rear
and
underneath
the
Phantom
Shell.
It
will
be
a
tight
fit
but
it
is
possible.
Pull
the
wires
through
until
the
junction
box
of
the
wire
is
at
the
base
of
the
entry
hole.

6. Having
identified
the
correct
active
(+)
&
ground
(-)
wires
of
the
5.8gHz
power
system,
solder
the
ground
wire
to
the
ground
port
of,
for
example,
ESC
number
3.
Then
solder
the
active
wire
to
the
active
port
of,
for
example,
ESC
number
4.
We
do
this
to
share
the
load
of
drawing
additional
power
from
just
one

7. To
connect
the
AV
signal
out
of
the
Phantom
upgrade
board
to
the
AV
signal
of
the
5.8gHz
system
you
will
need
to
join
the
Yellow
cable
of
the
5.8gHz
to
the
Yellow
cable
of
the
AV
out
from
upgrade
board.
The
same
is
to
be
carried
out
with
the
Brown
and
exposed
cable
of
both
the
upgrade
and
5.8gHz
cables.
You
can
twist
the
same
wires
together,
as
referenced
in
pic
6
&
7,
and
then
apply
solder
to
the
joined
cables
to
ensure
a
strong
connection.
Ensure
that
the
ground
&
video
cables
are
separated
clearly
and
that
they
cannot
come
in
contact
with
one
another
after
the
Phantom
is
reassembled.
Use
heat
shrink
or
electrical
tape
to
ensure
separation.
*If
ground
or
video
wires
touch
at
any
time
during
flight
video
signal
will
be
lost,
&
if
flying
FPV
that
is
the
last
thing
you
want
or
need.

5.8gHz
cable
into
the
back
of
Tx
unit
(refer
to
instruction
manual),
connect

to
Zenmuse
H3-2D
Gimbal
and
power
up

Have
FPV
screen/goggles
connected
to
5.8gHz
Rx
system
and
check
for
video
signal.
*Ensure
