Morris Elementary School, Des Moines, IA (January 2014 March 2014) Student teaching in a Third Grade classroom: Created lessons for multiple level learners, monitored childrens behavior, facilitated learning, and collaborated with other team members. Altoona Elementary School, Altoona, IA (March 2014 Present) Student teaching in a K-3 Special Education room: Assisted in planning lessons as well as creating helpful guides for students, participated in IEP meetings, collaborated with students general education teachers, incorporated technology into the day, and completed progress monitoring for children weekly. Greenwood Elementary, Des Moines, IA (Spring 2012) Assisted with small group math and social skills lessons in a special education room, 40 hour practicum Related Work Experience Veridian CCO, Skill Development Assistant (March 2013-Present) Cared for two different children who have special needs, intellectual disabilities and Down syndrome. Work on social living skills in the community and in childs home. ChildServe (November 2012-August 2013) Johnston, Iowa Cared for and worked on social community living skills with five different children ranging in ages from 7-15. Worked one-on-one with each child bringing them into the community to volunteer, work on money skills, social skills, and daily living.
