P: In spiritu humilitatis, et in animo contrito suscipiamur a te, Domine: e

Therefore, most merciful Father, we humbly beg of Thee and entreat Thee through
Jesus Christ Thy Son, Our Lord. Hold acceptable and bless + these gifts, these +
offerings, these + holy and unspotted oblations which, in the first place, we o
ffer Thee for Thy Holy Catholic Church. Grant her peace and protection, unity an
d guidance throughout the world, together with Thy servant (name), our Pope, and
(name), our Bishop; and all Orthodox believers who cherish the Catholic and Apo
stolic Faith.

Remember, O Lord, Thy servants and handm
aids, (name) and (name), and all here present, whose faith and devotion are know
n to Thee, on whose behalf we offer to Thee, or who themselves offer to Thee thi
s sacrifice of praise for themselves, families and friends, for the salvation of
their souls, and the health and welfare they hope for, and who now pay their ho

This prayer has special beginnings for certain feasts

In the unity of holy fellowship we observe the memory, first of all, of the glor

Thy blessed Apostles and Martyrs, Peter and Paul, Andrew, James, John, Thomas, J
ames, Philip, Bartholomew, Matthew, Simon and Thaddeus; of Linus, Cletus, Clemen

Damian, and all Thy Saints: for the sake of whose merits and prayers do Thou gra

the same Christ, our Lord. Amen.

Christum Dominum nostrum. Amen. Wherefore, we bessech Thee, O Lord, grac

P: Dominus vobiscum. P: The Lord be with you.
S: Et cum spiritu tuo. S: And with thy spirit.
P: + Initium sancti Evangelii secundum Joannem. P: + The beginning
of the holy Gospel according to St. John.
S: Gloria tibi, Domine. S: Glory be to You, O Lord.
Fuit homo missus a Deo c
ui nomen erat Joannes.
riam quasi Unigeniti a Patre, plenum gratiae et veritatis. P: In the b
eginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same
was in the beginning with God. All things were made by Him; and without Him was
made nothing that was made. In Him was life; and the life was the light of men.
And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. There
was a man sent from God, whose name was John. This man came for a witness, to be
ar witness of the Light, that all men might believe through him. He was not that
Light, but was to give testimony of the Light. That was the true Light, which l
ighteth every man that cometh into the world. He was in the world, and the world
was made by Him, and the world knew Him not. He came unto His own, and His own
received Him not. But as many as received Him, He gave power to become the sons
of God: to them that believe in His name: who are born, not of blood, nor of the
will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. (genuflect here) AND THE
WORD WAS MADE FLESH, and dwelt among us, and we saw His glory, the glory as of
the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
S: Deo gratias. S: Thanks be to God.
Prayers After Mass
Ordered by Pope Leo XIII.
To be said kneeling after the celebration of Low Mass.
The Priest, with the people, recite 3 Hail Marys.
Hail, holy Queen, Mother of mercy, our life, our sweetness, and our hope. To the
e do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To thee do we send up our sighs, mou
rning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, most gracious Advocate, th
ine eyes of mercy towards us. And after this our exile, show unto us the blessed
Fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.
V. Pray for us, O holy Mother of God.
R. That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
Let us pray.
O God, our refuge and our strength, graciously hear Thy people crying to Thee; a
nd through the intercession of the glorious and immaculate virgin Mary, Mother o
f God, of her spouse, St. Joseph, Thy holy apostles, Peter and Paul, and all the
Saints, lend a merciful and compassionate ear to the prayers which we pour fort
h for the conversion of sinners and the freedom and prosperity of Holy Mother Ch
urch. Through the same Christ our Lord.
R. Amen.
St. Michael, the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our safeguard against the wi
les and wickedness of the devil. Restrain him, O God, we humbly beseech Thee; an
d do thou, O prince of the heavenly host, by the power of God cast into Hell Sat
an and the other evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the destruction
of souls.
R. Amen.
P: Most Sacred Heart of Jesus,
R. Have mercy on us! (3 times)
