Science of Spirituality as in the Holy Bible

Preface

There are several meanings to a word, e.g. literal meaning, implied meaning, etc. Hence, often there is confusion about what the word really wants to convey. In Spirituality, the problem becomes multifold because of the following reasons 1. The scriptures were written thousands of years ago. The languages then were quite different from what they are today. 2. The meanings of words used in the worldly and the spiritual contexts differ. 3. The scriptures are written in an extremely condensed form as in the olden days there were no facilities for writing. Hence, all the information had to be memorised. 4. Since the scriptures teach us about something that is beyond words and since words have their limitations, everything cannot be explained here. Unless the implied meaning is correctly understood the treasure of knowledge given to us by our ancestors remains inaccessible. The most common mistake that people make when studying the scriptures is that they try to understand the meaning with their intellect. Nobody really understands anything as a result of which each one interprets the scriptures in his own way. The only way then to understand the real meaning is to learn it from someone who is at a higher spiritual level. The meaning given here is as imparted by the spiritually evolved. In order to help seekers to overcome this problem, we have published several books on Spirituality which convey the implied meaning. The aim behind our publication of the Science of Spirituality as in The Holy Kurn too is the same. The present one is to help them to understand difficult excerpts from The Holy Bible. The quotes are from The Holy Bible, The New Revised Standard Version Catholic Edition for India, published by Thomas Nelson for Theological Publications in Bangalore, India. The book also contains various quotes from the Bible which are grouped topic wise e.g. spiritual practice, spiritual practice of opposing the evil, the seeker, etc. Finally all religions preach the same concepts. Hence, along with quotes from the Bible relevant excerpts from other scriptures have also been inserted. For a better understanding of the topic along with the English word the corresponding Sanskrut / Marth word is given in brackets. Where a suitable English word is not available the Sanskrut / Marth word is used with the meaning alongside. Study of our publication The Teachings of Saint Bhaktarj which gives numerous examples of the implied meaning of difficult quotes of Saint Bhaktarj, our Guru whom we affectionately called Bb, will also be helpful to seekers. Once a seeker understands how to interpret these scriptures, it will be easy for him to understand the implied meaning of any other scripture. We pray to our Guru to bless seekers in their venture to understand the implied meaning of scriptures. - Compilers Index
