TOOLS AND METHOD OF APPROACH


XFLR5 for airfoil and initial analysis
VLAERO for wing analysis and optimization SolidWorks and MATLAB for structural analysis

A profile drag offset associated with the Clark Y airfoil was applied to all VLAero data to account for viscosity

All analysis of wing and plane properties was performed without accounting for the effects of the fuselage
