QUALITY CENTER (QC 10.0) INTRODUCTION


Quality Center, a Web enabled test management solution helps organizations to deploy high-quality applications more quickly and effectively. It has four basic modules - R$%&'($)$*+,- T$,+ P./*- T$,+ L/0 and D$1$2+,. hese modules are integrated to allo! a smooth information flo! bet!een various testing stages. When a large team e"ecutes a pro#ect from various locations at various time zones, this kind of a central management tool !ill reduce lot of human communication gaps and errors. Issue tracking !ill be made easy. Quality Center is a central point of control for storing all information about application requirements, tests and defects in a central repository of testing pro#ects .

he repository is a directory that stores Quality Center domains and *ite ,dministrator data. It contains the follo!ing subdirectories% Q&/.'+3 C$*+$(% his directory stores Quality Center 45)/'*,. It includes a default domain and may also include user-defined domains. -ach domain contains Quality Center pro#ects. Site Administrator: This directory stores the Site Administrator data in the DomsInfo subdirectory !hich contains *tyle*heets and emplates *tyle*heets, a subdirectory for storing global style sheets. emplates, a subdirectory for storing database templates used !hen creating ne! pro#ects.

Quality Center )equirements &anager links test cases to application functional requirements, ensuring traceability throughout the testing process. Quality Center enables the user to easily see !hat percentage of the application functional requirements are covered by tests, ho! many of these tests have been run, and ho! many have passed or failed.
