Pattern Note
Join rnds with sl st unless otherwise stated.
Stocking
Rnd 1: Beg at top, with white, ch 40,
join to form ring, be careful not to twist
ch, ch 3, dc in each ch around, join in 3rd
ch of beg ch-3. (40 dc counting ch-3)
Rnd 2: Ch 1, sc in same place, sc in each
dc around, join in beg sc.
Rnd 3: Ch 3, sk first dc of Rnd 1, *[fpdc
around next dc of Rnd 1] twice, dc in each of
next 2 sc of Rnd 2, rep from * around, end
with dc in last sc, join in 3rd ch of beg ch-3.
Rnd 4: Ch 1, sc in same place, sc in each
dc and each fpdc around, join in beg sc.
Rnd 5: Ch 3, *fpdc around each of next 2

Rnds 630: Rep Rnds 4 and 5 alternate-
ly, end with Rnd 4, fasten off white.
Heel Shaping
Row 1: Attach royal blue in sl st, ch 1, sc
in same sc, sc in each of next 19 sc, ch 1,
turn. (20 sc)
Rows 29: Sc2tog over first 2 sc, sc in
each sc to last 2 sc, sc2tog over last 2 sc, ch
1, turn. (4 sc rem)
Row 10: [Sc2tog] twice, ch 1, turn. (2 sc)
Rows 11 & 12: Sc in each sc across, ch
1, turn.
Row 13: 2 sc in each sc across, ch 1, turn.
Rows 1421: 2 sc in first sc, sc across to
last sc, 2 sc in last sc, ch 1, turn. (20 sc)
Row 22: Sc in each sc across, fasten off,
leaving a long end for sewing.
Foot
Rnd 1: Attach white in next sc after heel,
ch 3, dc in next dc, fpdc around each of
next 2 fpdc, continue in patt across rem sts
of instep, sc in each sc across heel section,
join. (40 sts)
Rnd 2: Ch 1, sc in each st around, join.
Rnd 3: Ch 3, dc in next dc, fpdc around
next 2 fpdc, [dc in each of next 2 dc, fpdc
around each of next 2 fpdc] 4 times, work
across heel, *dc in each of next 2 sc, [fpdc
around sc 2nd rnd below] twice, rep from *
around, join.
Rnd 4: Rep Rnd 2.
Rnd 5: Ch 3, dc in next dc, *fpdc around
each of next 2 fpdc, dc in each of next 2 dc,
rep from * around, join.
Rnds 618: Rep Rnds 4 and 5.
Rnd 19: Rep Rnd 2, fasten off white.
Toe Shaping
Rnd 1: Attach royal blue in sl st, ch 1, sc
in same st, sc in next 2 sc, sc2tog, *sc in
each of next 3 sc, sc2tog, rep from *
around, do not join.
Rnds 2 & 3: *Sc in each of next 2 sc,
sc2tog, rep from * around. (24, 18 sc)
Rnd 4: [Sc in next sc, sc2tog] 6 times.
(12 sc)
Rnd 5: [Sc2tog] 6 times, fasten off, leav-
ing long end for sewing.
Assembly
Turn stocking inside out. Thread yarn end
into yarn ndl. Weave in and out through
sts in Rnd 5; pull firmly to close toe. Take
several small sts to secure; fasten off.
Sew side heel seams, matching sts.
Cuff
Rnd 1: With WS facing, attach royal blue
in center back of stocking top, sc in each
dc around, join in beg sc. (40 sc)
Rnd 2: Working in back lps for this rnd
only, ch 1, sc in each sc around, drop royal
blue, join rnd with white.
Rnd 3: Ch 1, sc in each sc around, drop
white, join rnd with royal blue.
Rnds 4 & 5: With royal blue, ch 1, sc in
each sc around, join, at end of Rnd 5, drop
royal blue, join rnd with white.
Rnds 611: Rep [Rnds 35] twice, fasten
off white at end of Rnd 9, join Rnd 11 with
royal blue.
Rnd 12: Ch 1, sl st in each sc around,
join, fasten off.
Turn cuff down.
Top Edge of Stocking & Cuff
Join royal blue with sl st in any front lp of
Rnd 1, ch 1, sl st evenly in each front lp
around, join, fasten off.
Hanger
Row 1: With royal blue, ch 25, sc in 2nd
ch from hook and each ch across, fasten off.
Sew 2 ends tog. Sew to top left corner of
stocking.
