MATERIALS
Crochet cotton size 10:
Small amounts red, green and
white
Steel crochet hook size 5
4 gold 18mm shank buttons
6 pearl 4mm beads
1 pearl 7mm bead
2 heart-shaped gold buttons
Gold metallic thread
Hot-glue gun
Heavy-duty cutters
Tapestry needle
GAUGE
5 sc = !/2 inch; 5 sc rows = !/2 inch
PATTERN NOTES
Weave in loose ends as work pro-
gresses.
Treble (tr): Yo hook twice, insert
hook in indicated st, yo, draw up a lp,
[yo, draw through 2 lps on hook] 3
times.
LARGE ROUND ORNAMENT
TRIANGLES
Note: Make 6 triangles each red
and green.
Row 1: Ch 2, 3 sc in 2nd ch from
hook, turn. (3)
Row 2: Ch 1, sc in each sc across,
turn.
Row 3: Ch 1, 2 sc in first sc, sc in
next sc, 2 sc in next sc, turn. (5)
Row 4: Ch 1, sc in each sc across,
turn.
Row 5: Ch 1, 2 sc in first sc, sc in
each sc across to within last sc, 2 sc in
last sc, turn. (7)
Rows 69: Rep Rows 4 and 5. (11)
Row 10: Rep Row 4, leaving a
length of cotton, fasten off.
Sew 6 triangles tog to form circle
for each front and back, alternating
colors.
Rnd 11: Holding circles tog, with
red triangle of front on green triangle
of back, working through both thick-
nesses, attach white cotton, ch 1, sc in
same sc as beg ch-1, ch 1, [sc in next
sc, ch 1] rep around, sl st to join in beg
sc, fasten off.
FINISHING
Cut shank off back of 2 buttons.
Glue buttons over center hole of front
and back.
Attach hanging lp with gold metal-
lic thread through Rnd 11.
SMALL ROUND ORNAMENT
TRIANGLES
Note: Make 6 triangles each red
and green.
Rows 16: Rep Rows 16 of Large
Round Ornament. (7)
Sew 6 triangles tog for each front
and back, alternating colors.
Rnd 11: Rep Rnd 11 of Large
Round Ornament.
Rep finishing of Large Round Or-

TREE ORNAMENT
Note: Make 2 sections of tree.
Row 1: With green cotton, ch 2, sc
in 2nd ch from hook, turn. (1)
Row 2: Ch 1, work 3 sc in the 1
sc, turn. (3)
Row 3: Ch 1, sc in each sc across,
turn.
Row 4: Ch 1, work 2 sc in first sc,
sc in next sc, 2 sc in last sc, turn. (5)
Row 5: Ch 1, work 2 sc in first sc,
sc in each sc across to within last sc, 2
sc in last sc, turn. (7)
Row 6: Rep Row 3, fasten off.
Row 7: Sk 2 sc, attach red cotton
in next sc, ch 1, sc in same sc as beg
ch-1, sc in next 2 sc, turn. (3)

tog, matching sts and working
through both thicknesses, attach
white cotton in opposite side of foun-
dation ch, ch 1, 3 sc in same st as beg
ch-1, sc evenly sp around entire outer
edge, working 3 sc in each corner st, sl
st to join in beg sc, fasten off.
FINISHING
A heart, a tree and two round ornaments are quick and easy
projects to crochet for those upcoming bazaars.

Glue the 7mm pearl bead to center
top front of tree, glue the 6 (4mm)
pearl beads to front of tree as desired.
Attach gold metallic hanging lp to top
of tree.
HEART
CENTER (make 2)
Row 1: With white crochet cotton,
ch 2, 3 sc in 2nd ch from hook, turn. (3)
Row 2: Ch 1, sc in each sc across,
turn.
Row 3: Ch 1, 2 sc in first sc, sc in
next sc, 2 sc in last sc, turn. (5)
Row 4: Rep Row 2.
Row 5: Ch 1, 2 sc in first sc, sc in
each sc across to within last sc, 2 sc in
last sc, turn. (7)
Rows 6 & 7: Rep Rows 2 and 5. (9)

st in last sc, leaving a length of cotton,
fasten off.
FINISHING
Sew Rows 17 of side to side of
Rows 815 of center, sewing 1 red and
1 green to each center to form a heart.
Holding both front and back tog
and working through both thickness-
es, attach white crochet cotton in loop
at bottom point, ch 1, 3 sc in same lp
as beg ch-1, sc evenly sp around en-
tire outer edge of heart, working 2 sc
in each tr across each top curve, sl st
to join in beg sc, fasten off.
Glue a gold heart to top center of
each side of heart.
Attach metallic gold thread to cen-
ter top between lobes for hanging
loop.
