Agenda
WORKSHOP OVERVIEW
This 3-day seminar is specically tailored to provide delegates an insight into aboveground storage tank design. The workshop will offer delegates in-depth understanding of design consideration for above ground storage tanks in accordance with API 650/ 620/ 653/ UL 142 codes. The workshop will rst introduce codes and regulations for aboveground storage tanks, followed by damage mechanisms that found in xed renery equipment that affect the design of aboveground storage tank. The workshop will also address the fundamentals to essential design and integrity management of different types of storage tanks. Delegates will also be able to understand the appropriate materials selection and considerations for storage tanks. Apart from that, this workshop will teach delegates the toughness requirement and thickness when it comes to designing metal temperature of shell plates. Last but not least, this workshop will incorporate a number of case studies and class activities to enhance the delegates learning experience. The trainer who has more than 35 years of experience will also demonstrates design software where automated design and detailed drawing production will be carried out.

CLASS ACTIVITY!!!

WHY YOU CANNOT MISS THIS EVENT:

Tanks leak or spill when it is least expected. The risk of this type of leak or spill is much motivated by the quality of the design and construction of the tanks. In fact, in recent years, there is growing demand for designing aboveground storage tanks that are safe and environmental friendly to society as a whole. That said, the American Petroleum Institute (API) standards of 650, 620, 653 are the primary industry standards by which aboveground storage tanks are designed, constructed and maintained. This standard does not only address existing but also newly designed and constructed aboveground storage tanks used in the petroleum, petrochemical and chemical industries A well-designed and constructed aboveground storage tanks protects the environment from leak, spills and emission. Most importantly, it helps to minimise costly projects mistakes and tank failures.
