You downloaded something related, but direction clearly not followed. The excerpt that was chosen was not one of the four outlined in website, no picture was added. Words are misspelled, sentences are not flowing, points are not coming together. Fair 50% Found another search engine and website that have excerpts but was not the website that was in the direction. Better 75% Used search engine, but did however find the document under another link. The given link of history.hanover.edu was not used. The essay is starting to reflect the excerpt that you choose. The thesis could have been revisited in the conclusion to drive in or remind the reader of the purpose. The picture that was chosen was not the best pick. Minimal misspelled words, the arrangement is developing but not yet there. The grammar is good. Great 100% Carefully followed the direction and chose the exact website that read history.hanover.edu

Go to Google Search Engine for the Declaration on Independence and downloaded the document Criteria 2 Short Essay 40

Write a short essay on the one excerpt that you choose of the four listed. Add a picture that supports the excerpt of your choosing. The essay should speak on the importance of the document.

The essay does not support the excerpt that you chose nor does the picture compliment the piece. The order of the paper is not a flow that reveals a clear understanding of the thesis. There was an attempt to write about the Declaration on Independence, but the directions were not followed.

Criteria 3 Whiteboard Another tool is using the whiteboard to express your ideas from the discussion presented by you, other classmates, and your teacher.

It is clear that you took this step and decided not to pay attention to the piece. You clearly do not relay any original idea and your part in the discussion does not reflect others comment or the essay in general.

Your attention to detail is minimal. You barely respond to excerpts with a clear definition of what it is you wanted to say. You answered other discussion with a 2-3 sentences responses when you could have written more.

You are starting to get a feel of what is being asked. You brought out your point of view strongly, however you are not as strong on your discussions of others point of view.

Crossword Puzzle

Another way to help retain knowledge from the Declaration of Independence is to perform a crossword puzzle to research the meaning of key words.

The crossword puzzle was design to help you research word definitions and help you have fun learning a little more. You took no effort of matching meaning with words. It appears you only tried to take out words that may fit with the spaces given.

You were able to complete about the puzzle. If you have tried harder I think you would have gotten it.

You completed about 75% of the puzzle. All the ones completed were correct.

The essay is strong. It is clear that you read all excerpt but chose the one that you could better explain and compliment with the picture. The attention to detail is brought out well and the picture shows emotions from the words expressed in the essay. Paper was thoroughly checked. The articulation of the paper was clear. Writer speaks to what the outline of the essay desired. You have succeeded. You use the tool to not only help your knowledge about the Declaration of Independence, but you give others something to think about. You gave the other classmates enough to go on. As your teacher gives out excerpts from the passage your stance whether agree or disagree is well received. You completed the puzzle in its entirety. The purpose of this exercise was to ensure you learned meanings of key words and contributions of the Declaration of Independence. If possible share your technique with the rest of the class on the whiteboard discussion
