General
Limitations
Document Controller shall in all his/her work follow governing documents and directions
given by Department Manager, Department Project Coordinator or Senior Document
Controller.
Duties
Cooperation
o Provide support to functional departments within the company which includes the
production and interpretation of timely and accurate financial results, budgets, forecasts
and ETC’s.
o Assists in the overall financial management of the company and contributes to the
development of the management information systems.
o Prepare of monthly reports, monthly forecasts and annual budgets following close liaison
with functional managers.
o Review the results and forecasts in conjunction with the functional managers.
o Contribute to Group and external audit exercise in relation to business stream accounts.
o Perform any other requirements needed to allow the department to operate smoothly
o Complied to HSE requirements

Preparation of monthly reports, monthly forecasts and annual budgets following close
liaison with functional managers.
Regular strategic review of results and forecasts in conjunction with the Financial
Controller.
Monitoring of project costing and production of ETC’s.
Contributing to monthly financial reports for submission to Group.
Participate in management accounting tasks (overhead variance analysis, costing
corrections etc).
Contributing to the achievement of strict financial controls in all areas.
Contributing to the development of the management accounting system.
Liaison with Group and external auditors in relation to business stream accounts.
Participate in training, motivating and developing individuals within the Management
Accounting team.
Any other requirements needed to allow the department to operate smoothly
General
Limitations

Duties
Cooperation
In general, and in support of the other supply chain personnel, provide a local focal point
for all supplier quality and technical matters and to act in the supervision of any Contract
QS engineers as may be assigned to the role from time to time.
Liaise with Supplier, Customer and Third Party QS representatives in pursuance of and
compliance with contractual obligations.
Conduct witness and hold tests on selected suppliers
Document and manage witness and hold program for selected suppliers
Conduct and report on vendor audits in accordance within an approved audit schedule
Conduct ad hoc audits or investigations into particular supplier quality problems so that
root causes are identified and effective corrective and preventive measures are put in place
within the NCR and CAPA Management Systems
Document and manage to root cause vendor NCR for selected suppliers
Evaluation and approval of potential suppliers prior to their addition to the Approved
Vendor List (AVL) in order to maintain a supply base capable of supporting Malaysia
objectives.
Conduct audits of suppliers as required and/or to investigate particular quality problems to
achieve the above requirement.
Provide guidance and general support and awareness training to all supply chain managers
and supervisors (and others) in the operation, maintenance and continual improvement of
the company’s NCR and supplier CAPA systems.
Assist in the maintenance and revision as required, of Aker Solutions Malaysia Supply Chain
processes and procedures.
Provision and development of periodic reports on vendor performance indicators and
trends.
Provision of direction, guidance, support and development of a Quality culture within
supplier base.
As necessary, perform other duties, which require essentially the same level of skill and
responsibility.
Day to day management of technical and engineering issues within Malaysia supply base
Conduct Vendor quality audits on supply base as required
Develop and nurture relationships within supply base

QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND ABILITIES
• Academic qualifications:
• Engineering degree holder with at least 2 years of experience in QA/QC function and
supplier development.
• Engineering Diploma holder.
• lder with at least 5 years of working experience in QA/QC function and supplier
development.
• SPM and/or Technical Certificate school/institute with at least 7 years of working
experience in QA/QC function and supplier development.
• Vocational qualifications:
• Preferably a Lead Assessors Course with examination pass (recognised by IRCA)
• A recognised Quality Assurance or Quality Management qualification/ experience.
• Formal training the new ISO 9001:2000 Standard and audit training to the new Standard
would be distinctly advantageous.
• Note:
• Candidates/job-holders without the relevant formal qualifications above but possessing
other academic or vocational qualifications or who can demonstrate a greater level of
relevant practical experience with a proven track-record may be considered equally
competent. Additionally, candidates/job holders with higher academic qualifications may be
considered equally competent.
• Added Experience:
• Minimum 2-5 years in closely related industry (electrical/ hydraulic/mechanical design, oil
and gas, manufacturing/machining/coating and service) in a technical role(s) with at least
2 of these years being in a Vendor Quality Assurance responsible function with similar
responsibilities as described herein.

WELDING ENGINEER – 1 POSITION (QM)
SALARY: RM 7,000 – 10,000
LOCATION : PORT KLANG, PKFZ
Responsible for the materials and welding technology within the Manufacturing Centre and
performs these duties by applying his technical expertise in a professional manner in order
to comply with prescribed objectives.
Involves participation in design layouts, design calculations, design reviews and design
verification.
Responsible for analysing the materials content , selecting the optimum materials for
construction and advising on substitute materials
Will write and approve Technical Specifications covering all aspects of materials (welding,
heat treatment, coating, etc.) and will comply with the Engineering Departmental
Procedures which form part of the overall Quality System Manual.

Visit customers on an as needed basis to verify technical details of orders.
Organise own workload allocation to meet agreed project timescales.
Approve materials for engineering designs for manufacture
Participate in engineering design reviews to establish best solution.
Train personnel to develop materials and welding awareness.
Ensure materials design documentation is correctly stored
Write welding procedures for the products that are produced from the manufacturing
centre.
Comply to all HSE requirements
• Responsible for ensuring that all related work activites to handling of documentations and
document flows on a project carried out efficiently.
• Responsible for the daily working routines and procedures related to documentation and
documentations flows in cooperation with Project and Department Manager are carried out
efficiently.
• Review material certificates, dimension reports and other documentations as per ASM
quality procedure
• Carry out all inspection and quality monitoring as per approved procedures, client’s
specifications approved code and standards
• Liaise with the client representative in all aspects in inspection and testing
• Liaise with client, third party Inspector, DOSH, Authorized Inspector (IA) with regards to all
QA/QC issues.
• Compile QA/QC Data Book as per the approved Manufacturer’s Data Book index
• Must have proven involvement with multi disciplined Projects, and be familiar with
equipment and activities which are both upstream and downstream for his job function.

To effectively and efficiently purchase materials and services ensuring company procedures
are adhered to and proper records maintained.
Expediting.
Project Management: - responsible for all aspects of procurement related activities against
allocated projects. E.g. Project reporting of spend / savings, deliveries to schedule etc.
Cost Savings for Projects in line with agreed levels.
Liaise with projects and ensure reports are produced in a timely manner.
Negotiate Supplier Agreements.
Validate bid pricing and where appropriate negotiate key segments of major bids.
Response NCR’s on vendor or related issue within agreed timescale.
Responsible for recommending min/max stock levels.
Ensure monthly reports are submitted in a timely manner.
Ensure cost saving spreadsheets is submitted for each Project.
Ensure Expediting Reports are submitted in a timely manner and information is accurate.
Maintain knowledge of current supply market
Monitor cost of quality.
Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with HSE regulations.
Ensure all work is executed to the highest ethical standards in line with recommendations
and policy on business ethics.
As required, perform other SC related tasks which require similar levels of skill and
responsibility.

improvement.
Reporting all defects through the defect reporting systems, in order to ensure close out
action of all issues.
Ensuring that all work identified in the work packs is completed.
Ensure all calibrated equipment used within the build and test process is within calibration
dates.
Ensure workshop is maintained in a safe and tidy manner.

• In general, and in support of the other Quality Personnel, provide a local focal point for
all delegated Quality matters and to act in the supervision of any Contract QA engineers
as may be assigned to the role from time to time.
• Prepare and issue for use, Project Quality Plans, Surveillance Plans, Inspection & test
plan and Certification Plans in order to ensure functional departments, especially
engineering, procurement and production, are aware of contractual Quality
requirements.
• Liase with Customer and Third Party QA representatives in pursuance of and compliance
with contractual obligations.
• Perform random inspection on product to ensure that the quality requirements are met
• Assist and provide guidance to document controller to prepare manufacturing data
books
• Conduct ad hoc audits or investigations into particular quality problems so that root
causes are identified and effective corrective and preventive measures are put in place
within the Management System
• Conduct audits of suppliers as required and/or to investigate particular quality problems
to achieve the above requirement.
• Provide guidance and general support and awareness training to all managers and
supervisors (and others) in the operation, maintenance and continual improvement of
the company’s Operating System
• Assist in the maintenance and revision as required, of processes and procedures
relating to Quality Assurance core capabilities.
• Assist with provision of periodic reports on the OS performance indicators and trends.
• Provision of direction, guidance, support and development of a Quality culture in other
departments.
• As necessary, perform other duties, which require essentially the same level of skill and
responsibility.
• These responsibilities may from time-to-time require travel to other sites and supplier
sites in the region.

Academic qualifications:
• A university degree in Engineering or equivalent /technical qualifications
Vocational qualifications:
• Trained in ISO9001 audits
• Formal training on the new ISO 9001:2000 Standard and audit training to the new
Standard would be distinctly advantageous.
• Note:
Candidates/job-holders without the relevant formal qualifications above but
possessing other academic or vocational qualifications or who can demonstrate a
greater level of relevant practical experience with a proven track-record may be
considered equally competent.
Additionally, candidates/job holders with higher academic qualifications may be
considered equally competent.
Experience:
• Minimum 2-5 years in closely related industry (electrical/ hydraulic/mechanical
