“WHEN THE SON OF MAN COMES, WILL HE FIND FAITH ON EARTH?"
Jesus once told his disciples the
parable of the widow and the unjust
Judge to explain that they ought to pray
always consistently with steadfast faith in
God. He ended his parable with these
questions to be pondered over -“..Will not

tasting and touching. Faith enters in
the region of unseen things, making
them tangible and real. Such faith is
not mere human wisdom or
sagacity. It has its foundation in a
spiritual understanding and comes
as a fruit of the Spirit (Gal.5:22) and
as a gift of God resulting from His
grace. It is faith which hopes for the
impossible or the incredible and
believes in the supernatural. The
Apostle John encourages us to
believe that faith can overcome the
world.(1John 5:4) As the Bible
says, both for a man with steadfast
faith in God (Mk. 9:23) and for

cry to him day and night? Will he delay
long in helping them? I tell you, he will
quickly grant justice to them. And yet,
when the Son of Man comes, will he find
faith on earth?”(Lk. 18:7-8). As our world is
moving fast, many are gradually losing faith
in God, are turning against Him due to sin,
lack of religious fervour and proper Christian
education, worldly pleasures and so on...
They are putting trust on their capabilities,
their worldly knowledge and innovations,
their strengths and assets, on materialistic
things, machines et al. They have forgotten
God and gone beyond the limits of idolatry to
sorcery and witchcraft thereby testing His
patience and challenging His power. It is high
time that we should correct our lifestyle and
beliefs, obey God's commands and know the
meaning and importance of true Faith.
WHAT IS FAITH?

WHERE DOES YOUR FAITH RELY ON?
People say,“ if you have faith,
you can have everything”. But this
statement is vague in the sense that
it does not mention what kind of faith
you have and on whom your faith
relies upon. Do you have faith in
anything that is of this world or on
the one supreme God, who is
omnipotent, omniscient,
invincible and almighty, the
creator of all that exists and who is
the first and the last. Have you put
your trust on lifeless stones and
idols, on helpless and pitiful men, or
on the ever-living, loving and

us an important prayer, which is the
statement of our faith and our
foundation, called the Apostles' Creed
which states that we believe in the
almighty Heavenly Father, who is our
Creator. We also believe in His Son
Jesus Christ, the incarnate Word, our
Lord and Saviour, in his passion,
death, resurrection, ascension and his
second coming in glory, in the Holy
Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the
communion of saints, the forgiveness
of sins, the resurrection of the body
and the life everlasting.
Our faith should be on Jesus, who
rose from the dead on the third day
and is seated at the right hand of His
Heavenly Father, who is always
present among his followers as He
had promised (Matt. 18:20), who has
got all authority and power from His
Father (Matt. 28:18), who is the Way,
the Truth, and the Life (Jn. 14:6). We
should rely upon and have unfaltering
assurance of the fulfilment of the
promises made by Jesus, even though
everything may seem to go against
fulfilment. We should obey His
commands and follow his way, take
His Divine Word as a precious gift and
an irrevocable truth so that we may
become the beloved children of God.
Every word of the Bible is true and holy
and is written by the inspiration of the
Holy Spirit. (read 2 Tim. 3:16-17)
SYNONYMS OF FAITH:
The various synonyms of the
Bible for faith help to illustrate its
nature and action -
a) Hear - “So faith comes from what
is heard, and what is heard comes
through the word of Christ.”(Rom.
10:17).
b) Look at me/Turn to me - Turn to
me and be saved, all the ends of the
earth! (Is. 45:22)
c) Receive - But to all who received
him, who believed in his name, he
gave power to become children of God
(Jn. 1:12).
e)Approach/Seek- whoever would
approach him must believe that he
exists and that he rewards those who
seek him. (Heb. 11:6)
d) Believe - The word translated

"believe" is found 247 times in the
New Testament, and the kindred term
"faith" occurs 244 times. The word
"faithful" meaning full of faith occurs
67 times. “Believe on the Lord Jesus,
and you will be saved, you and your
household.” (Acts 16:31)
SOURCES OF FAITH:
Faith cannot be stolen or forcefully
given, neither can it be bought nor
sold but it can be shared and given
freely through sharing one's divine
experience. Faith is a free gift of God
given to each one in a different
measure or proportion and the level
or degree of one's faith can change
with time and circumstances.(Rom.
12:3) Faith comes by hearing, reading
and following the Word of God in
daily-life experiences. But, overall,
Christ is the Pioneer and Perfecter of
our faith. (Heb. 12:2)
THE HEROES OF FAITH:
The Letter to the Hebrews (Ch. 11)
declares clearly, beginning from Abel
to the Kings and Prophets of Israel,
how they, through their steadfast faith
in God, led an outstanding and
exemplary life pleasing to God. We
read in the Old Testament the
promises made by God to Abraham
and how he believed in His promises
and obeyed His commands without
hesitating. Thus, he became the
"Father of our Faith" (Rom.4:17), the
Father of Nations as God had
promised.
When a person believes God, it is
reckoned to him as righteousness. St.
Paul says, "since God is one; and he
will justify the circumcised on the
ground of faith and the uncircumcised
through that same faith." (Rom. 3:30).
We read in Hebrews 11 the
examples of Abel, Enoch, Noah,
Isaac, Jacob, Moses, and the names
of Gideon, Barak, Samson, Jephthah,
David and Samuel taken as those
who pleased God through their faith
because without faith it is impossible
to please God.
NECESSITY OF FAITH:
i) Faith is essential to please God
(Heb. 11:2, 6, 39), ii) It is necessary
to avoid condemnation (Heb.3:19;
Jn.3:18, 5:24), iii) It is absolutely
essential to salvation (Jn. 3:16, 36;
Matt. 13:58), iv) It leads to confession
of sin and reconciles the souls to God,
v) It inspires through the indwelling
Spirit to pray and invoke the Lord
when in need, vi) It provides access

to God and space for Him to work
miracles in one's life through the Spirit's
manifestation (Gal.3:5) . Jesus
promised his disciples,“And these
signs will accompany those who
believe: by using my name they will
cast out demons; they will speak in new
tongues; they will pick up snakes in
their hands, and if they drink any deadly
thing, it will not hurt them; they will lay
their hands on the sick, and they will
recover.” (Mk.16:17-18) He also
promised them, “Very truly, I tell you,
the one who believes in me will also do
the works that I do and, in fact, will do
greater works than these, because I am
going to the Father.” (Jn. 14:12). Since
Jesus promised us, “remember, I am
with you always, to the end of the
age.”(Mat. 28:20), we have nothing to
be afraid of with Him at our side.
Hence, vii) true faith drives out all kinds
of fear and doubts, stress and anxiety.
THE FRUITS OF FAITH:
St. James compares a faith without
works with that of a body without soul to
be completely dead and useless.

reign over us.
May all hearts and all homes willingly
proclaim you as their Immaculate Queen.
PRAYER TO THE QUEEN OF HEAVEN:
O Mary Immaculate Queen, look down upon
this distressed and suffering world. You know
our misery and our weakness. O you who is
our Mother, saving us in the hour of peril, have
compassion on us in these days of great and
heavy trial.
Jesus has confided to You the treasure of
His Grace, and through You He wills to grant
us pardon and mercy. In these hours of
anguish, therefore, your children come to you
as their hope.
We recognize your Queenship and
ardently desire your triumph. We need a
Mother and a Mother's Heart. You are for us
the luminous dawn which dissipates our
darkness and points out the way to life. In your
clemency obtain for us the courage and the
confidence of which we have such need.
Most Holy and Adorable Trinity, you Who
crowned with glory in Heaven the Blessed
Virgin Mary, Mother of the Savior, grant that all
her children on earth may acknowledge her as
their Sovereign Queen, that all hearts, homes,
and nations may recognize her rights as
Mother and as Queen. Amen.

JESUS SAVED ME FROM
THE CLUTCHES OF DEATH
MIRACULOUSLY! ALLELUIA!
All praise, glory & thanks be to Jesus!
I,Prabhu (in the above picture),
am now 30 years old and I have come today
for the first time at Jeevan Dham to give my
incredible testimony of God's mercy before
all those present here. On April 14 this year,
an unfortunate mishap almost took away
my life. A huge wall fell over me and crushed
me under its massive weight. The bones of
my forehead, my nose, my shoulders, my

waist and hips, and below my knees broke
into pieces. I fell unconscious and I was
seriously wounded. Someone reached me to
the hospital anyhow in that condition and
reported my family members. When they
came to see me the following day, they were
left totally shocked. Nobody thought that I
would be able to survive for long.
My Aunt, who had a strong faith in Lord
Jesus and who used to attend the healing
prayer service here at Jeevan Dham
regularly, started praying for me from the
moment she saw me in the hospital lying
helpless on the stretcher with my broken
bones in plasters. Soon, I regained
consciousness and she told me to take the
holy name of Jesus and praise and thank him
for my quick recovery. I came to know about
Jesus and Jeevan Dham through her. While
praising, I made up my mind and promised
God that I will definitely give my testimony if I
recovered fast. I was kept in plasters for
about two-and-a-half months and all these
days I used to pray to God and praise Jesus.
But, merciful and loving God heard our
sincere prayers and joined all my broken
bones miraculously. He helped me stand up
on my feet and walk comfortably within a
span of three months. I am deeply indebted
to Lord Jesus, my Saviour, who saved my life
and healed me for His glory. Praise the Lord
Almighty! Thanks a million to Him for all the
favours He has bestowed upon me!

The fruits of faith are- obedience, love,
service, righteousness, generosity,
patience and courage. AN INCREDIBLE MIRACLE !
THE QUALITY OF FAITH:
Paul emphasizes on the clear
teaching that there are various aspects
and degrees of faith when he speaks of
faith leading to more faith (Rom.1:17),
and also the "measure of faith," and of
"the proportion of faith" (Rom.12:3-6).
Following are the various degrees of
faith found in the Bible. You have to
check them and find where you can
place yourself among these:
No Faith- Jesus said, “Why are you
afraid? Have you still no faith?”(Mk. 4:40),
Dead Faith - Faith without works is
dead(Jam. 2:17), Vain Faith - if Christ has
not been raised, then...your faith has been in
vain.(1 Cor. 15:14), Little Faith -Jesus said,
“Why are you afraid, you of little
faith?”(Matt.8:26), Weak Faith -Welcome
those who are weak in faith(Rom.14:1), Rich
Faith- Has not God chosen the poor in the
world to be rich in faith...(Jam.2:5), Firm
Faith- I rejoice to see your morale and the
firmness of your faith in Christ (Col. 2:5),
Great Faith- Jesus said, “I tell you, not even
in Israel have I found such faith.”(Lk 7:9),
Sincere Faith- Faith of Timothy (1Tim.1:5;
2Tim.1:5), Precious Faith- who have
received a faith as precious as
ours..(2Pet.1:1);"your faith—being more
precious than gold" (1Pet1:7; 2:7) and Holy
Faith- ..beloved, build yourselves up on your
most holy faith (Jude 20).
The Lord said to Joshua son of Nun, “Only be strong and very
courageous, being careful to act in accordance with all the law that my
servant Moses commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or
to the left, so that you may be successful wherever you go.” (Josh. 1:7).
