Searching by Publication Name
A publication search is one that gives you access to all available volumes and issues of a selected publication.

To perform a publication search on EBSCOhost clic! on the #ublications button on the sub" toolbar of your search screen. Type in the publication name choose the criteria you #ant and clic! the Bro$se button. This #ill bring the desired publication or publications to the top of the $esult %ist if available in the database.
Search Criteria &hen searching from the Publication Search Screen you have the option to choose from the follo#ing search criteria'

%lphabetical " Enter the first fe# letters of the publication name. (our search results #ill include all available publications that begin #ith the letters you entered presented in alphabetical order. B& Sub'ect ( )escription " )inds publications that carry your search terms in the Sub*ect +escription or Title fields of the Publication +etails. *atch an& $ords " )inds publications #ith one or more of the #ords in your search terms. $esults are displayed in order of relevance to your search terms.

To vie# detailed information about a publication #hile on the Publication Search Screen clic! on the name of the publication. This #ill sho# pertinent information about the publication such as title publisher,s name address and -$%. This also includes coverage dates for abstract and full te.t if available and sho#s the years for #hich data is available for the publication. Clic!ing on the desired year #ill e.pand to sho# volumes and issues. To see articles from a particular volume/issue clic! on the volume/issue name. Clic! the Bac+ button to return to the Publication Screen.

The selections you ma!e on the #references Screen can no# be saved to your personal account 01y EBSCOhost2 and retrieved for use at any time. Once you sign in to 1y EBSCO host your personal preferences are applied. And if you ma!e changes to your preferences those changes are saved for future use.

Format 5 Select the level of detail for each result' Standard Title only Brief or +etailed. Customi8ed Field Format 5 A list of all fields available for the databases you are searching #ill display. The fields shared by all the databases you are searching appear in the )ields in Common area at the top of the screen. 1ar! the chec! bo.es to the left of the fields you #ant to include.

E3mail From 5 The A)romD address on the e"mail you send defaults to ephost@epnet.com. 7f you #ould li!e to change that address enter the information in this field. 0)or e.ample you could enter your o#n e"mail address or a library e"mail address.2 This #ill automatically fill in the A)romD field on the e"mail that is sent. E3mail 0o 5 The ATo Aaddress on the E"mail 1anager defaults to a blan! field. 7f you #ould li!e to automatically fill in the E"mail Address field #ith a specific e"mail address enter the information in this field. 0)or e.ample you could enter your o#n e"mail address or list of e"mail addresses for the students in class or a group of colleagues.2

To set up a one-step search alert: 3. )rom the $esult %ist or Search :istory Screen clic! the /SS alert icon or /SS Feed lin! on the %lert/Sa e/Share pop"up screen.

4. An alert #indo# displays #ith the search alert information. Copy the /SS Feed -$% into your ne#sreader.

=. 7f you decide that e"mail delivery of the alert information is re;uired clic! the Sign in lin!. Once you sign in to 1y EBSCOhost the Search Alert Screen appears. See ASaving a Search as an AlertD for more information.

4. Cie# the Publications %ist. Once you have found the desired publication clic! the /SS alert icon to the left of the publication name.

=. The Create Alert #indo# appears #ith the /SS Feed -$% displayed at the bottom. Copy the /SS Feed -$% into your ne#sreader.
