A. Core Competence 1. Comprehending and implementing the religious doctrin which is followed. 2. Comprehending and implementing the honesty, discipline, responsibility,

concern, (tolerance, muttual assistance), polite, confident, in interaction with social and nature invironment in sociality and existence scope. 3. Understanding the knowledge (fact, concept, and prosedure) based on the curiousness about science, technology, art, culture which are related with real phenomenon and event. 4. Trying, processing, and serving in concrete scope (using, analyzing, combining, modifying, and making) and abstrac scope (writing, reading, couting, drawing, and arranging) agreeable with the lesson that is learned in the school and same others sources in aspect of theory. B. Basic competence 3.10. Understanding the social function, text structure, and element of language on descriptive text by asserting and asking about person, animal, and thing description, short and simple, based on the using context. 4.12. To get the meaning in oral and writing descriptive text, short and simple.

4.13. To arrange the oral and writing descriptive text , short and simple, about person, animal, thing, and noticing the social function, text structure, and language element correctly and appropriate to the context. C. Indicator 3.10.1. To identify the general ilustration, certain information and detail from simple descriptive text with confidence and responsibility. 4.12.1. To differ the social function, text structure, and element of language on simple descriptive text. 4.13.1. To understand descriptive text by noticing the purpose, text structure, element of language, and correctly and appropriate to the context.

D. Teaching-Learning objective By reading, listening, watching, asking, trying, and understanding procces, the students are able to analyze and answer the questions of descriptive text with confidence, honest, and responsibility.

E. Learning Material Definition of descriptive text Descriptive text: describing person, animal, thing. Example: My Favorite Teacher There are about forty teachers in my school. Most of them are kind and helpful. But my favorite one is Mr. Henry, my english teacher. Mr. Henry is tall and slim enough. He is about thirty years old. Mr. Henry is always neatly dressed. To school he always carries briefcase. He uses it to keep his books and another things.

I always look forward to Mr. Henrys class because it is never boring. His jokes make his lesson interesting and lively. He always advices us to read more story books to improve our English. He also encourages us to do exercise during the weekend, like jogging and swimming. Although Mr.Henry is usually humorous, he can be very strict at times. He likes to give a punishment to the errant students. He asks them to write a letter of confession. Mr.Henry is also a caring person. Once I fell of my bike and had a deep cut on my knee. He wash my wound and put medicine on. I was touched by his kindness. I am lucky to have a teacher like Mr.Henry. He is friendly, dedicated, and experienced in his work.

The students notice the social function, text structure, and element of language, or delivering format of descriptive text. The students read quickly to get the general ilustration of text and define interval on the position for meaningful reading. Asking By guidance and direction of teacher, the students ask such as the differences between Indonesian and English descriptive text, possibility in using the other expression etc. The students ask the way to find the main idea, certain information, detail of information, and the conclusion of descriptive text. 10 minutes

Explorating The students read/listen some descriptive texts from any sources.

The students read descriptive text to the friends by using the accurate elements of language. The students train to find the main idea, certain information, and meaning of words in descriptive text. The students are devided into groups, writing descriptive text about person, animal, and thing, caught with the others lesson in VII class by noticing the social function, structure, and elements of language. Asosiating By a couple, the students analyze writing descriptive text each other by focusing on the social function, strucure and element of language. The students obtain feedback from teacher and friends about analysis result which is conveyed in group work. Communicating The students write the friends description and presenting in front of the classs. The students make learning journal. Closing Giving feedback toward the result and procces of learning activity. Giving follow-up in tasks. Informing the learning activity plan for next meeting 2 minutes

I. Assessment Criteria of Assessment Level of achievement of social function in using text. Level of completeness and harmony descriptive text structure. Level of accuracy the elements of language, vocabularies, expression, stress, intonation, spelling, and hand writing. Level of suitability of writing/conveying format.

Procedure in assessment: Performance Doing monologue about person, animal, and thing description in front of the class/ in couple.
