Poster Design Contest

About the Contest


Charleston Beer Garden is calling all artists, graphic designers, and general art hobbyists to submit an original poster design for the Charleston Beer Garden festival. This a great way to show us what you got, earn a chance to win tickets, and earn the chance to have your design be used as the official promotional poster. One lucky designer will earn the grand prize which includes one pair of Charleston Beer Garden VIP tickets ($50 value each) and $100 cash. We cant wait to see what you come up with!

The Technical Stuff


Be Creative, but make sure the design includes the following: o Charleston Beer Garden Logo (Squirrel with Mug http://www.scribd.com/doc/217016470/Charleston-Beer-Garden-Logo) o Festival Website: www.charlestonbeergarden.com o Festival Date & Time: May 17, 2014 - 12pm - 8pm o Presented by Craft Beer Exchange at Sunoco (copy only) o Space for sponsor logos to be added after design is completed (We recommend a 1 inch strip across the bottom of the poster in white.) Original work only! Make sure all of your images and photos are copyright free! Creative should measure 11 inches wide x 17 inches tall. Must be print quality, high res in PDF format. Designer may be asked to make revisions if their design is chosen to add in sponsor logos or other minor tweaks.

How To Submit
Submit your design no later than Thursday, April 17, 2014 Email the design in PDF format to info@gustogroupllc.com Include the following with your submission in the email: Full Name, Address, Date of Birth, Email, and Cell Phone

How The Poster Is Chosen


Designs submitted by Artists will be reviewed no later than Thursday, April 17, 2014 by a panel of festival staff & associates. The top 5 designs, as chosen by the panel, will be shared to the Charleston Beer Gardens official Facebook page. (https://www.facebook.com/charlestonbeergarden). The Contest Winner will be chosen by the fans. Fans will allowed to cast one vote each by liking their favorite design in the photo album posted to the official Facebook page. The fan voting will last through Monday, April 21, 2014. The design with the most votes at 5pm EST will be announced as the Contest Winner. The Contest Winner will be contacted via email and arrangements will be made to deliver the Charleston Beer Garden tickets and $100.

The Fine Print


Charleston Beer Garden & Gusto Group are entitled to the exclusive rights of any and all contest submissions. Contest submissions may appear on promotional materials, official merchandise, websites, social networks, Email newsletters, festival credentials, festival tickets, etc. The festival reserves the right to use or not use the winning design as they see fit. Submissions must meet all requirements of the contest submission criteria in order to be officially entered into the contest. Submissions must be sent to the email address above no later than Thursday, April 17, 2014 to be considered Festival organizers and/or popular fan vote may select Winner(s). Contest entrants may not reproduce their submissions with the intention to sell or publicly distribute the work. Contest entrants are entitled to use their submission as part of their personal portfolio. Entrants must be age 21+ to enter and to win.

General Requirements
The Artist fully represents that the work he or she submits is a product of his or her own work. Furthermore, the Artist guarantees that the use of their material will not infringe upon the intellectual property rights, or defame or invade the publicity or privacy rights, of any third party, living or deceased. All materials must be in keeping with the Festivals positive image. Without limitation, any submissions which the Festival deems offensive, in its sole and absolute discretion, such submissions may be disqualified. Festival reserves the right at any time, in its sole and absolute discretion, to disqualify an Artist that the Festival believes, in its sole and absolute discretion, it not in compliance with

these Official Rules, or which has made a false or misleading statement or otherwise, and reserves the right to pursue all other rights and remedies available at law in the event of such disqualification.

Limitations of Liability
Festival reserve the right to change Contest rules at any time, for any reason, without notice, in their sole discretion. Contest Entities are not responsible for illegible, garbled, corrupted, damaged, lost, late, misdirected, undeliverable or incomplete Entry Forms, or online votes whether due to system errors, human errors or failures, or faulty transmissions or other telecommunications or other types of malfunctions or interferences, and/or for online votes not received resulting from any hardware or software failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, or failed, incomplete or garbled computer or telephone transmissions, typographical or system or human errors and failures, or faulty transmissions, or as a result of any other error or problem of any kind relating to or in connection with this Contest, whether technical, mechanical, typographical, printing, human or otherwise, including, without limitation, errors or problems which may occur in connection with the administration of the Contest, the collection and processing of the Entry Forms, the judging of the Contest, the announcement of a prize winner, or in any Contestrelated materials. Festival may prohibit an Artist from participating in the Contest or winning a prize if, in its sole and absolute discretion, it determines that said Artist, or anyone acting in concert with such Artist, is attempting to undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest by cheating, hacking, deception, or unfair voting or judging practices, or intending to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other entrants, any judges or Festivals representatives. If for any reason any portion of this Contest is not capable of running as planned, including, but not limited to, infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud or any other causes beyond the reasonable control of Festival which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Contest, then Festival reserves the right in its sole and absolute discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest and select the potential winning Artists either by means of (i) those eligible votes or judges scores (as applicable) received up to the cancellation/suspension date or (ii) Festiv als sole and absolute discretion. CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT OR ANYONE ELSE TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY CONTESTRELATED WEBSITE, OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST, MAY BE IN VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, FESTIVAL RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK REMEDIES AND DAMAGES (INCLUDING REASONABLE ATTORNEYS FEES) FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT OF THE LAW, INCLUDING CRIMINAL PROSECUTION.

Personal Information
By entering the Contest, each artist consents to the collection, use and disclosure of his/her personal information collected in connection with the Contest by Sponsor and its authorized agents and representatives for the purposes of administering this Contest. Each Artist also agrees to the use in perpetuity of such Artists name, address [city and state], biographical information, statements, voice, photograph and/or other likeness, on any website, and otherwise in connection with conducting or promoting the Contest, Grand Prize Performances and Contest Entities, without further notice or compensation. It is agreed that all personal information collected during the course of the Contest may be transferred to the U.S.A. for the purposes set forth herein. *All submissions and photos become property of Gusto Group.
