Description: Two sided Brochure that was created. Date: March 29, 2014 Course/Instructor: Comm 130-08 Julie Perterson Program(s): AdobeInDesign/AdobePhotoshop Objective: Set up and align a two-sided, folded document that has an original company logo and use it in a brochure. Process: I created my brochure by making a gateway fold in Adobe Design. Then using the ruler I created folds in which know where my text and images should be placed. Then took my front image and made two copies. Taking both of them I inverted the images so the image would fold properly. Later created a logo using the pen tool and used text boxes for each part of the paw so they would fit perfectly. For the inside I first placed down my text and then put my image of pug and black lab puppies down after I used Adobe Photoshop with the quick selection tool to take away the background. After clicked on the images using the text wrap tool to wrap the text around it. Below the black lab image I placed the gold retriever puppies down bottom left and in the corner put the text. On the top right I placed husky puppies and text under it. Then blood hound puppies beneath the text. With the spaces that were left empty I place different colors of dog prints. With the remainder parts of the front picture I did not used I made the back. Giving it goo color and the appearance of completion of the whole brochure.

Description: A personally taken photograph that has been edited abd formatted with Photoshop. Date: February 6, 2104 Course/Instructor: Comm 130 Section Julie Peterson Program(s)/Tools: Cannon Nikon tDigital Camera Adobe Photoshop Objectives: Obtain basic photography skills. Use a digital camera to take good images. Download image, then size and crop image. Using Adobe Photoshop adjust the image brightness, contrast, hue and saturation levels. Use certain tools to select a portion of the image. Deduct saturation from the selected portion of the image. By using a filter or colorize a portion of the image. Process: Learning more about photography was fun and helped me to take a variety of interesting pictures. It was fun to make everyday things look more interesting. First I took a picture in the morning of cars lined up, but took it so the bottom car was framed in the bottom left corner by using the rule of thirds. Then I took another picture inside of my roommate while he was cleaning the bathroom, so I was able to get a wide amount of good shots. Which led me to get a nice one for my lead room that I place his head in the upper left corner, foreground and background where his head was in the upper right while the paper towel was placed bottom left. Later I took another of my other roommate playing games placing him in between the middle left and slight in the middle. The colors looked like they worked well together. Finally I took another shot of cars, but this time blurred the background more to make the front of the cars pull forward. Taking each car and place them in the bottom corners of the thirds.
