Genera| safety
D|shwasher detergents are very danger-
ous. Be carefu| they do not touch eyes,
mouth and sk|n. Keep the ch||dren away
from the app||ance when the door |s
open. .
Obey the safety |nstruct|ons from the man-
ufacturer of the d|shwasher detergent to
prevent burns to eyes, mouth and throat.
On|y put detergent |n the d|spenser before
you start a wash|ng program. Make sure
that the detergent d|spenser |s empty at
the end of the wash|ng program.
Do not dr|nk the water from the d|shwash-
er. Detergent res|dues can stay |n your ap-
p||ance.
A|ways c|ose the door when you do not
use the app||ance to prevent |njury and not
to stumb|e over the open door.
Do not s|t or stand on the open door.
Ch||d safety
Oh||dren or |nf|rm persons must not use
th|s app||ance. They must get superv|s|on

Fo||ow these steps to set the Button |ock
funct|on:
1. Sw|tch on the app||ance.
2. Set a wash|ng program.
3. Press the Start button to start the wash-
|ng program.
4. Press button |ock button for approx|-
mate|y 5 seconds, or unt|| the button |ock
|nd|cator ||ght f|ashes.
5. Button |ock |nd|cator ||ght f|ashes for ap-
prox|mate|y 15 seconds.
6. When the button |ock funct|on |s act|ve
the |nd|cator ||ght |s on w|th a stat|c ||ght.
lf you press a button wh||e button |ock func-
t|on |s on, an aud|b|e s|gna| |nd|cates that
buttons are |ocked.
At the end of a wash|ng program the button
|ock funct|on |s deact|vated by open|ng and
c|os|ng the door or sw|tch|ng off the app||-
ance.
ImportantI lt |s not poss|b|e to deact|vate
the button |ock funct|on wh||e a wash|ng
program |s |n progress. To do th|s you must
cance| the set program. Refer to 'Se|ect and
start a wash|ng program'.
Sett|ng mode
The app||ance |s |n sett|ng mode when a|| the
program |nd|cator ||ghts are on.
The app||ance must be |n sett|ng mode to set
a wash|ng program.
lf a program ||ght |s on, cance| the program
to go back to the sett|ng mode. Refer to 'Se-
|ect and start a wash|ng program'.

Do not f||| the r|nse a|d d|spenser w|th
other products (e.g. d|shwasher c|ean-
|ng agent, ||qu|d detergent}. Th|s can
cause damage to the app||ance.
R|nse a|d makes |t poss|b|e to dry the
d|shes w|thout streaks and sta|ns.
R|nse a|d |s automat|ca||y added dur|ng
the |ast r|ns|ng phase.
Fo||ow these steps to f||| the r|nse a|d d|s-
penser:
1. Press the re|ease button (A} to open the
r|nse a|d d|spenser.
2. F||| the r|nse a|d d|spenser w|th r|nse a|d.
The mark 'max.' shows the max|mum
|eve|.
3. Remove the sp|||ed r|nse a|d w|th an ab-
sorbent c|oth to prevent too much foam
dur|ng the subsequent wash|ng program.
4. O|ose the r|nse a|d d|spenser.
Adjust|ng the r|nse a|d dosage
F||| the r|nse a|d conta|ner when the |nd|cator
(B} becomes c|ear.
The r|nse a|d |s set at the factory at pos|t|on
4.
You can set the r|nse a|d dosage between
pos|t|on 1 (|owest dosage} and pos|t|on 6
(h|ghest dosage}.

Turn the r|nse a|d d|a| to |ncrease or decrease
the dosage.

Wash hands to remove any res|due of

Caut|onI On|y use the app||ance for
househo|d utens||s that are su|tab|e for
d|shwashers.
Do not use the app||ance to c|ean objects
that can absorb water (sponges, househo|d
c|oths, etc.}.
Before you |oad cut|ery and d|shes, do
these steps:
- Remove a|| food rema|n|ngs and debr|s.
- Make burnt, rema|n|ng food |n pans soft.
Wh||e you |oad cut|ery and d|shes, do
these steps:
- |oad ho||ow |tems (e.g. cups, g|asses
and pans} w|th the open|ng down.
- Make sure that water does not co||ect |n
the conta|ner or |n a deep base.
- Make sure that cut|ery and d|shes do not
||e |ns|de one another.
- Make sure that cut|ery and d|shes do not
cover other cut|ery and d|shes.
- Make sure that g|asses do not touch
other g|asses.
- Put sma|| objects |n the cut|ery basket.
P|ast|c |tems and pans w|th non-st|ck
coat|ngs can reta|n water drop|ets. P|ast|c
|tems do not dry as we|| as porce|a|n and
stee| |tems.
Put ||ght |tems |n the upper basket. Make
sure that the |tems do not move.
Caut|onI Make sure that the spray arms
can move free|y before you start a
wash|ng program.
Warn|ngI A|ways c|ose the door after

open door can be dangerous.
Lower basket
Put saucepans, ||ds, p|ates, sa|ad bow|s and
cut|ery |n the |ower basket. Arrange serv|ce
d|shes and |arge ||ds around the edge of the
basket.
Cut|ery basket
Warn|ngI Do not put |ong-b|aded kn|ves
|n a vert|ca| pos|t|on. Arrange |ong and
sharp cut|ery hor|zonta||y |n the upper
basket. Be carefu| w|th sharp |tems.
se the cut|ery gr|d for best wash|ng resu|ts.
lf the d|mens|ons of the cut|ery prevent the
use of the cut|ery gr|d, you can remove |t.
Put forks and spoons w|th the hand|es down.
Put kn|ves w|th the hand|es up.

lf the po|nts of the kn|ves or other th|n |tems
come out from the bottom of the basket, they
can prevent the rotat|on of the |ower spray
arm. Put kn|ves and other th|n |tems w|th the
hand|es down.
M|x spoons w|th other cut|ery to prevent
them nest|ng together.
Upper basket
The upper basket |s for p|ates (max|mum 24
cm |n d|ameter}, saucers, sa|ad bow|s, cups,
g|asses, pots and ||ds. Arrange the |tems to
|et water touch a|| surfaces.
Put p|ates on|y |n the rear part of the up-
per basket. T||t them forward.
Put g|asses w|th |ong stems |n the cup racks
w|th the stems up. For |onger |tems, fo|d the
cup racks up.
Adjustment of the he|ght of the upper
basket
lf you put |arge p|ates |n the |ower basket, f|rst
move the upper basket to the upper pos|t|on.

tergent. The mark|ng shows the dosage:
20 = approx|mate|y 20 g of detergent
30 = approx|mate|y 30 g of detergent.

wash, put more detergent |n the prewash
detergent compartment (B}.

Use of comb| detergent tab|ets
These products are detergents w|th a com-
b|ned c|ean|ng and r|ns|ng funct|ons. They
can conta|n a|so other c|ean|ng agents.
Refer to the |nstruct|ons from the manufac-
turer for the use of these products.
W|th tab|ets that conta|n r|nse a|d:
set the |owest pos|t|on for the r|nse a|d
dosage,
do not put r|nse a|d |n the r|nse a|d d|s-

1. O|ose the app||ance door.
2. Press the on/off button.
3. Make sure that the app||ance |s |n sett|ng
mode.
4. To se|ect a wash|ng program, press the
program se|ect|on button unt|| the |nd|ca-
tor ||ght of the program you want to set
comes on. A|| other program |nd|cator
||ghts go off. Refer to the 'Wash|ng pro-
grams' chart for program deta||s.
- The start |nd|cator ||ght f|ashes.
5. Press the start button. The wash|ng pro-
gram starts automat|ca||y.
- The WASHlNG |nd|cator ||ght comes
on.

When the wash|ng program operates,

squashed or entang|ed.
F|t the hose nut correct|y to prevent water

Caut|onI Do not connect the app||ance
to new p|pes or p|pes that have been not
used for a |ong t|me. |et the water run
for some m|nutes, then connect the |n|et
hose.
Water dra|n hose
The h|ghest po|nt of the dra|n hose must be
no more than 60 cm from the f|oor and must
have a cont|nuous fa|| to the p|umb|ng con-
nect|on.
The dra|n hose can be |engthened us|ng ad-
d|t|ona| |engths and connectors. These must
be purchased from E|ectro|ux Spare Parts.
The extens|on |ength must not exceed 2 me-
tres.
The dra|n hose must be free of k|nks and ob-
struct|ons.
Remove the s|nk p|ug when the app||ance
dra|ns the water to prevent that the water
goes back |nto the app||ance.
lf you connect the water dra|n hose to a trap
sp|got under the s|nk, remove the p|ast|c
membrane. lf you do not remove the mem-
brane, rema|n|ng food can cause a b|ockage
|n the dra|n hose sp|got.
The app||ance has a secur|ty feature to
prevent d|rty water go|ng back |nto the
app||ance. lf, the sp|got of the s|nk has a
'non-return va|ve', th|s va|ve can cause
the app||ance to dra|n |ncorrect|y. Re-
move the non-return va|ve.
Caut|onI Make sure that the water
coup||ngs are t|ght to prevent water
|eakage.
Ensure that hoses are not crushed or
k|nked under or beh|nd the app||ance.
Once connected the |n|et hose to the
water tap, turn the tap on and check that
there are no |eaks.

Warn|ngI Safety standards requ|re the
app||ance to be earthed.

st|tute a f|re hazard through overheat|ng.
lf necessary, have the domest|c w|r|ng
system socket rep|aced. lf the ma|ns ca-
b|e has to be rep|aced, contact your |o-
ca| Oustomer Oare centre.
The ma|ns p|ug must be access|b|e after
the app||ance has been |nsta||ed.
Never unp|ug the app||ance by pu|||ng on
the cab|e. A|ways pu|| the p|ug.
Test the app||ance. Run a qu|ck wash|ng
programme and ensure that the app||-
ance f|||s w|th water, washes and dra|ns
w|th no |eaks.
The manufacturer accepts no ||ab|||ty for
fa||ure to observe the above safety pre-
caut|ons.
Env|ronment concerns
The packag|ng mater|a|s are env|ronmenta||y

|ts Author|sed Serv|ce Oentre w|||, at no
extra charge |f your app||ance |s read||y
access|b|e w|thout spec|a| equ|pment,
and subject to these terms and cond|-
t|ons, repa|r or rep|ace any parts wh|ch |t
cons|ders to be defect|ve. You agree that
any rep|aced App||ances or parts be-
come the property of E|ectro|ux. Th|s

batter|es, f||ters or s|m||ar per|shab|e

5. Parts and App||ances not supp||ed by
E|ectro|ux are not covered by th|s war-
ranty.
6. Where you are w|th|n an E|ectro|ux serv-
|ce area, th|s warranty covers the cost of
transport of the App||ance to and from
Author|sed Serv|ce Oentres of E|ectro|ux
and trave|||ng costs for representat|ves of
the Author|sed Serv|ce Oentre to and
from your home or bus|ness. lf you are
outs|de an E|ectro|ux serv|ce area, you
w||| bear these costs. For |nformat|on

re|ates and the re|at|onsh|p between you
and E|ectro|ux are governed by the |aw
app||cab|e |n the Austra||an State where
the App||ance was purchased or the |aw
app||cab|e |n New Zea|and |f the App||-
ance was purchased |n New Zea|and.
Where the App||ance was purchased |n
New Zea|and for bus|ness purposes the
Oonsumer Guarantee Act does not ap-
p|y.
L|m|tat|on of L|ab|||ty
10. To the extent perm|tted by |aw:
- E|ectro|ux exc|udes a|| warrant|es oth-
er than as conta|ned |n th|s document;
- E|ectro|ux sha|| not be ||ab|e for any
|oss or damage whether d|rect or |n-
d|rect or consequent|a| ar|s|ng from
your purchase, use or non-use of the
App||ance.
11. Prov|s|ons of the Trade Pract|ces Act
and State consumer |eg|s|at|on |n Aus-
tra||a, and the Oonsumer Guarantees
Act, the Sa|e of Goods Act and the Fa|r
Trad|ng Act |n New Zea|and, |mp|y war-
