1 - Introduction
Corte Certo is an especially designed program for the planning and the fitting and cutting of rectangular sections, which runs on 'indows !(, )e, *T +.$, #$$$ or ,- based -C.s. 'hen used with materials such as flat glass/ &C), 0a material made from aluminum1/ wood, 0)23, compensated or agglomerated1/ plastic/ acrylic/ metal/ -C4, 0made for printable circuit boards1/ and so on, the program automatically generates cut maps, 0which can be saved as files, printed or viewed on screen1, to be used in manual or automated, 0machine1, cutting. &u5iliary functions allow other tas6s related to the cutting of plates and boards to be carried out7 Calculation parameters which can be configured according to user needs/ On screen and printed visualization of cut maps/ )aterial, 0plates, boards and fragments1, and pro8ect record management/ Generation of statistic reports/ -rintable identification labels for sections and fragments.

2.0 - Main window buttons
The top part of the main window presents a variety of buttons, which activate the systems main options7 [Projects] -ro8ect data with information on the sections to be cut, 0dimensions, amounts, etc1/ [Resources] 4nformation about the available material for pro8ects, such as plates fragments in stoc6 or future purchase testing/ [Calculations] 'indow in which automatic calculation for the positioning of sections in one or more pro8ects, 0among the ones which can be selected or are on Record1, is activated. [ isuali!ation] &llows for visualizing, editing and printing of set9ups, which have been generated/ [Report] &llows visualization and printing of various reports on system information/ ["abel]

( - Projects
& pro8ect contains the dimensions, amounts and other information about each piece to be cut. <ach pro8ect has an identification code ranging form $ to =$$$$. 'hen the main pro8ect button is activated, a list of pro8ects on record is displayed in a window. Three options are presented in this window7 editing a pro8ect on the list, deleting a pro8ect or creating a new one.
) - Resources
'indow where the materials 0sheets and offcuts1 to be used in the cut and their characteristics can be configured.
- - Calculations
This option carries out optimized calculations for the fitting and cutting in one or more selected pro8ects.
/ - isuali!e
:et9ups and set9up reports can be visualized, edited and printed.
/.0 - Introduction
'hen the isuali!e button is pressed, the last performed calculation can be graphically displayed, 0on a cut map1, as well as any editing made, 0modification1. -reviously saved calculations can also be displayed.

so that a cut is bro6en, creation of fragments using dimensions below the minimum, etc1. 4n case an invalid modification is re>uested, the system may simply not e5ecute command, or may alert the user with a warning message. 0ttention1 Berifying the 6ind of cut or interrupted cut in set9ups in which saw width is greater than zero is not possible. Possible cut .ap .odi#ications are1 Cut c*an$in$1 &llows for changing the cut direction, 0horizontal or vertical1, between two leftover pieces, 0reusable or not1. C :elect one of the pieces ad8acent to the cut line # C -lace the cursor over the other leftover piece that shares the cut line and clic6 on it with the left mouse button. Piece .o2e.ent1 &llows a piece to be moved in any direction, as long as its final position is on a leftover piece big enough for it, or outside the plate or board. C :elect desired piece. # C :elect the leftover area, or a location outside the plate, to which the first piece should be moved. The relocation will only be made in case it is geometrically possible. Re.o2al o# pieces #ro. a plate1 This allows for a piece to be removed form the plate, if necessary. 'ith the piece outside the plate or board, it can be rotated !$D, deleted or resized. C :elect desired piece. # C -lace the cursor outside of the plate or board, 0to the top or right1, and clic6 the left mouse button. -lease note that any piece removed from the plate may be reinserted, as described below. Insertion o# a piece1 4nserts a piece into the board or plate. C :elect the desired piece from outside the plate. # C -lace the cursor within the plate, over a leftover area, and clic6 the left mouse button. Piece deletion1 C Remove piece from plate, # C select piece, = C clic6 the delete button, 0trash bin icon1. 0ttention1 This operation should be used carefully since the resulting set9up will no longer correspond to the pro8ect due to the deletion of a piece. Piece rotation1 &llows for the !$D rotation of a piece. The following steps should be followed7 C remove piece from plate, # C select piece, = C clic6 the rotate button, + C reposition the piece on the plate, 0within a leftover area1. Resi!in$ a piece1 &llows width and length of pieces to be altered. C Remove piece from plate, # C select piece,
= C clic6 on the resize button, 0 plus 3 minus 1, + C entered desired values into the corresponding fields, E C press the ,4 button in the modification window. 0ttention1 This operation should be used carefully since the resulting set9up will no longer correspond to the pro8ect due to the modification of a piece Insertion o# a new piece1 &llows for a new piece to be added into the plate. C Clic6 the ?insert new piece? button, # C enter the code and dimensions in the corresponding field presented, = C press the ,4 button in the insertion window, 0the piece is placed outside the plate1, + C position the piece within the plate. 0ttention1 This operation should be used carefully since the resulting set9up will no longer correspond to the pro8ect due to the insertion of a piece 5ote1 'ith the -iece removal and 4nsertion of a new piece options, a piece may be removed from one set9up and placed in another, if necessary. 0ttention1 2epending on the number of repetitions a set9up has, insertion or removal of one piece may actually cause more than one modification, 0if a set9up has $ repetitions, insertion@removal of one piece causes $ pieces to be inserted@removed1.
6 - Reports
&llows viewing and printing out a variety of reports about any calculations performed and system wor6sheets for a certain material7 These reports contain $eneral system information. 3or specific reports on latest calculations performed, the ones in the 2isuali!ation window should be used7 &fter pressing the isuali!e button, select the Report folder, and clic6 on either the Current set-up report or 7eneral set-up buttons.
9 - "abels
&llows cut piece identification or pro8ect labels to be printed.
