Job Duties/responsibilities:
• Company Profiling – Involves creating a snapshot of the company which includes
company description, segment description / analysis, competitive landscape,
analysis of price / volume movement, providing historical and projected financial
data and ratios, etc.
• Creation of Industry Overviews – Involves extensive research and compile a full
length overview of the industry providing details on the industry definition,
segmentation, size of the market, growth of the market, potential, drivers of the
market, key players, key products, etc.
• Buyers List Profiles – Involves identifying M&A targets both from the buy side and
sell side. Requires analyzing the anticipated synergies, target’s SWOT, strategic fit
and acquisitive nature.
• Financial Analysis – Done one project in analysing financial position of a firm for
capital raising. Also assisted my colleague (associate) in valuation of a non-listed
company/client
• Tracking of major PE and M&A deals – Requires maintaining a database of the
major events in this space on a weekly basis
