Make It
Cook potatoes in boiling water in saucepan 10 to 15 min. or until very tender; drain well. Transfer to large bowl; cool 5 min. Meanwhile, chop 3 eggs; slice remaining egg. Add chopped eggs, onions, celery, radishes and relish to potatoes; mix lightly. Combine Miracle Whip and vinegar. Add to potato mixture; mix well. Sprinkle with paprika; top with egg slices.
Place eggs in single layer in saucepan. Add enough water to saucepan to completely cover eggs by at least 1 inch. Bring water to boil; cover. Remove saucepan from heat. Let eggs stand 20 min. Add eggs immediately to a bowl of ice water. Let stand until completely cooled. Perfectly hard-cooked eggs will have a firm yellow center with no greenish tinge. Hard-cooked eggs in their shells can be refrigerated up to 1 week.
NOTE
The potatoes in this salad are cooked until very tender so that, when mixed with the other ingredients, the chunks lose their shape or are "smashed."

yummmm <3 old fashioned! just the way it's supposed to be <3
My mom's recipe has a twist...you peel and cube potatoes, stir in the celery, green onions and eggs and then pour 1/4 c Kraft French dressing and refrigerate o/n or 4-6 hrs. Then combine mayo, mustard seed ( 1 tbsp) and pepper - add the marinated salad to this and toss lightly to coat. She also

added 2 finely chopped apples - this gave it the extra zing ! Try it ...you will love it too.
This looks like an excellent recipe except for the relish & vinegar. What the heck -- I'll try it! You never know!! I absolutely love homemade potato salad. Sooooooooo much better than the commercially-made stuff, that's for sure!
I can say ditto to the person who commented on mom mashing the spuds first. We had the same masher, red handle white strips. The best potato salad for me is mashed spuds and eggs. What I wouldn't give for some of Mom's homemade relish to put in my salad. This recipe just like Mom's.
I always use left over baked potatoes (either with or without the skin). I find the potatoes have more flavor than boiled ones.
