Leather Cover Protocol


PLEASE NOTE: This handout is for those seeking extra clarification and a better understanding of who wears what. This handout IS NOT meant to be a final sayso of any Leather Family protocol.

Leather Obedientia Education & Training I. A boy/slave Cap A boys or slaves cover should be a black leather baseball cap or black leather military style cap with no adornments or top strap.

II. An Alpha (or Senior) boy/slave Cap An Alpha (or Senior) boys/slaves cover should be a soft black leather motorcycle style cap with a soft visor and no adornments or top strap, however, the standard boy/slave cover may be used as well.

Leather Obedientia Education & Training III. An Apprentice Cover A Sir or Lady Apprentices cover should be a high peaked black leather cap in the Muir Cap style, and should only have a black strap across the top with no front strap. The strap should be a black, flat band and should be made of leather or polymer only. Strap buttons should be black. Visors should be made of plain black leather or glossy black polymer, edged in black only. No other adornments should be worn on the cover.

Leather Obedientia Education & Training IV. A Dom/sub Sir/Lady Cover A Sir's/Ladys cover should be a high peaked black leather cap in the Muir Cap style, and should have a strap across the top and front. The straps should be a flat band and should be made of leather, polymer or metal, and be silver, chrome or gold. Strap buttons should be black. Visors should be made of plain black leather or glossy black polymer, and edged in silver or black. No other adornments should be worn on the cover.

A Bondage/Disipline Sir/ Lady Cover A B/D Sir's/Ladys cover should be a high peaked cap made of black leather in the Muir Cap style and should have a strap across the top and front. The straps should be made of leather, polymer or metal, and be silver, chrome or gold. At least one of the straps should resemble rope/band. Strap buttons should be black. Visors should be made of plain black leather or glossy black polymer, and edged in silver or black. No other adornments should be worn on the cover.

Leather Obedientia Education & Training VI. A S/m Sir/Lady Cover An S/m Sir's/Ladys cover should be a high peaked cap made of black leather in the Muir Cap style and should have a strap across the top and front. The straps should be made of leather, polymer material or metal and be silver, chrome or gold. At least one of the straps should resemble chain. Strap buttons should be black. Visors should be made of plain black leather or glossy black polymer, and edged in silver or black. No other adornments should be worn on the cover.

Leather Obedientia Education & Training VII. A Master Cover A Master's cover should be a high peaked cap made of black leather in the Muir Cap style and should have a strap across the top and front. The straps should be made of leather, polymer material, silver, chrome or gold and either one or both straps should be flat, resemble rope or chain as a preference indicator. Strap buttons should be black. Visors should be made of plain black leather or glossy black polymer, and edged in silver or black. A large silver or chrome metal eagle device should be placed centered between the peak and top of the front strap. No other adornments should be worn on the cover.

Senior Master Cover A Senior Master's cover should be a high peaked cap made of black leather in the Muir Cap style and should have a strap across the top and front. The straps should be made of leather, polymer material, silver, chrome or gold and either one or both straps should be flat, resemble rope or chain as a preference indicator. Strap buttons should be gold. Visors should be made of plain black leather or glossy black polymer, and edged in silver or black. A large silver or chrome metal eagle device should be placed centered between the peak and top of the front strap. No other adornments should be worn on the cover.
