Why Choose Heat Pumps

Heat Pumps are a tremendous way to provide heating and hot water to any commercial or residential building using cost effective renewable energy.

Massive reductions in carbon emissions can achieved by using Heat Pumps and significant cost savings can also be achieved by reducing fuel consumption.

Ground Source or Geothermal Heat Pumps along with Air Source Heat Pumps take low grade energy from the earth or atmosphere and convert it into high grade heat energy to be used within the home.

If you or your client have a desire to use sustainable renewable energy or reduce heating costs and you are looking at the options available then Heat Pumps should be your first consideration.

Environmental Benefits -

Reduce Carbon Emissionsshould be your first consideration. Environmental Benefits - Practical renewable energy use means reducing the use

Practical renewable energy use means reducing the use of fossil fuels and lowering carbon emissions by utilising proven technologies.

This means using technology that gives real day to day benefits designed to satisfy a base requirement in a commercial building. In the UK and Ireland one of our major base requirements is space heating which for many years has been satisfied by Gas, Oil or LPG boilers.

Heat Pumps can reduce carbon emissions by up to 60%

Efficiency Benefits -

Reduce Heating Costsreduce carbon emissions by up to 60% Efficiency Benefits - Heat Pumps can significantly reduce the

Heat Pumps can significantly reduce the cost of providing heating and also reduce yearly maintenance costs when compared to using heating boilers.

When compared to other forms of heating Air Source or Ground Source Heat Pumps can achieve real savings especially when compared to oil fired heating or LPG heating.

Savings of over 50% can be achieved using Heat Pumps

Flexibility of Installation

Heat Pumps are able to run at comparably lower heating temperatures than conventional heating systems which means that designing an underfloor heating system is a very straightforward process running at very efficient Heat Pump conditions which are matched to the underfloor pipe requirements.

Heat Pumps call for extremely low maintenance, the totally packaged nature of the Heat Pump system means maintenance is very limited. Unlike conventional heating systems there are no burners to clean or change on a regular basis and no internal components that can foul or block.

Air Source

Heat Pumps

Heat energy is collected from the external ambient air using the Heat Pumps integral evaporator coil. This energy is then transferred as high grade heat into the building.

Ground Source

Heat Pumps

Heat energy is collected from the ground at a depth of 1.2 metres using horizontal collectors and is transferred via the Heat Pump as high grade heat into the building.

Geothermal

Heat Pumps

Heat Energy is collected from the ground using open/closed loop boreholes at vertical depths of 30m-100m. The Heat Pump then transfers this energy as high grade heat into the building.

Service

Service and annual maintenance is a key consideration with any large purchase for the home. A Heat Pump system can help increase the value of a property in the same way other home improvements will. However it is very important to ensure that this increased value is maintained.

ICS Heat Pumps recognise this and their six step service approach places equal importance on every element of the Heat Pump purchasing process from initial equipment selection to future annual maintenance. Every ICS Heat Pump customer is assured of extensive service support at every stage of their project.

Maintenance of the Heat Pump is important, but because the Heat Pump is a refrigeration based piece of equipment its demands will be much less than a comparable boiler system.

A Heat Pump does not contain a burner which removes the risk of carbon monoxide completely.

Heat Pumps are easy to live with as long as the basic service levels

are met and the initial selection of the Heat Pump is correct.

Support

At ICS Heat Pump Technology we aim to provide all our customers with professional advice and support through the whole process of designing, specifying, installing and maintaining any of our heat pump units and systems.

We are a customer focused company that understands the need to be available for all our customers to offer the support they may need throughout the complete purchasing cycle.

Our support does not end when the heat pump system is in place and we are more than happy to talk to our customers and provide further support and advice long after the successful installation of an ICS Heat Pump.

The ICS Heat Pumps six step service approach

Step 1: Understand each customer’s needs and requirements.

Step 2: Carry out a detailed site survey and assessment.

Step 3: Provide a complete proposal with recommendations and options.

Step 4: Nominate a dedicated project manager to ensure pre delivery information, requirements are met and timescales are achieved.

Step 5: Provide project installation support and a full commissioning package.

Step 6: Ensure that on-going service is provided and annual maintenance requirements are understood and achieved.

requirements are understood and achieved. Site Survey ICS Heat Pumps place great significance on this site

ICS Heat Pumps place great significance on this site survey, this service is provided via a network of approved installers which allows potential customers to develop a relationship with their local service provider.

This site survey meeting is extremely useful and provides an understanding of the types of Heat Pump unit available and the suitability of each unit to meet the demands of their particular application.

The site survey meeting also ensures that each potential customer s needs are fully understood which then allows ICS Heat Pump Technology and their installer partners to offer the correct advice and provide the equipment options available which match each customer s demands.
