US state engineering licensing boards typically require an evaluation of any engineering education that is not EAC/ABET accredited Per the agreement between the American University of Cairo and NCEES, anyone who wishes to sit for the exam at AUC will be required to have an EAC/ABET accredited degree OR will be required to have an NCEES evaluation completed (the evaluation must show equivalency to the NCEES Engineering Education Standard)

Documents must arrive directly from the institution to NCEES. Documents received from ANY other third party (including yourself) will not be accepted. You will receive the address where the university can send the documents once you have applied. Typical document requirements: Official transcripts Degree verification Course descriptions from the time you attended

This form is provided after you have applied and been assigned to an evaluator Form must be included in the sealed envelope along with official documents from the university Form should be filled out by the university

Applicants having engineering degrees from programs that are not accredited by the EAC/ABET must demonstrate:

32 semester hours Higher Mathematics & Basic Sciences 16 semester hours General Education 48 semester hours Engineering Science & Engineering Design
Bachelors Masters Doctorate Community or Technical College CLEP
Advanced Placement (AP) A-levels Abitur International Lebanese & French Baccaluareate INDIA Technical Exam Boards & Diploma Programs

All college-level coursework will be considered

Credit will be given for advanced coursework (i.e. completed in HS)

Deficiencies will be noted for any action deemed appropriate by a member board

To sit for an exam at AUC, your education must be equivalent to the NCEES Engineering Education Standard
