As part of the Aungate Product Suite, Aungate Investigator delivers a comprehensive solution for analyzing, either post-event or in real-time, the activities of users via their communications. Aungate Investigator meets the compliance needs of organizations by providing the ability to manage user practices (defined standards they are required to observe) and virtual compliance groups, and define and manage required policies and business rules with minimal effort. Aungate Investigator provides a range of powerful second-generation discovery and visualization tools, to immediately locate relevant information and identify communication trends and threads within the organization. User Management
Aungate Investigator automatically monitors communications in an organization and provides high level analysis tools to enable management to understand the context and concepts of communications that have taken place. The system also facilitates the administration of all users and virtual compliance groups, a prerequisite for any organization that wants to implement effective compliance procedures such as workflow and escalation processes. This standard feature allows the organization to define user, role or group hierarchies at user, Reviewer and Compliance Officer level. Aungate's User Management features enable Reviewers to generate sample sets of data that can be assigned to any virtual review group for compliance detection. Furthermore, Aungate's intuitive User Management tool provides the flexibility to assign Compliance Officers to any defined review group or delineate any departmental exclusion via the virtual compliance group hierarchy.

Compliance workflow requirements constantly change. Whatever your needs, Aungate facilitates a flexible way of assigning Compliance Officers to Reviewers, reviewees to Reviewers and reviews to Reviewers. Compliance workflow can quickly and easily be defined through Aungate's intuitive drag and drop user interface. Subsequently, any policy infringement identified can follow the defined escalation procedure allowing the issue to be dealt with immediately.

Policy Management
Aungate's Policy Management function enables Compliance Officers or Reviewers to implement an automated policy enforcement process against communications of a particular type. Policies can be applied at individual user or group level, and the policy severity level can be defined using either default levels, by defining your own, or based on the strength of conceptual matches. In the event of policy changes, the system can be easily retrained to incorporate these. Compliance Officers are also able to define specific triggers so that any policy infringement can be detected within the organization. These triggers can in turn be used automatically by any Aungate Capture Module to provide real-time blocking and warning of policy infringement, assisting a Reviewer or Compliance Officer during the process. Furthermore, triggers can be used during an advanced investigation using Aungate Investigator.

Retrieval
Retrieval combines Autonomy's unique pattern matching technology with traditional legacy methods to provide a range of essential retrieval options from simple keyword search to sophisticated conceptual matching in one easy to use solution that addresses structured, semi-structured and unstructured information. The intuitive interface enables users to retrieve information via their preferred method; a natural language search for example, without compromising results or wasting time searching unnecessarily for information. In addition, Retrieval is completely language independent, allowing information retrieval in any language without the need for time consuming configuration. All results contain hyperlinks to other related content enabling users to easily locate the relevant up-to-date information they require. This means employees spend less time searching for information and more time focusing on the core issues of the organization.

Conceptual Search (Basic and Advanced)

Allows users to find results without having to be familiar with search algorithms or syntax. Natural language queries return references to conceptually similar information.

Parametric Search
Enables users to search for items by their characteristics (values in certain fields). When you provide fixed values in parametric fields, the parametric search returns consistent values in the non-fixed parametric fields. For example, you can search for specific wine varieties within a specific region by outlining which fields must match these characteristics - only wines that are of the specified variety and from the specified region are returned.

The 3D Cluster Map is a representation of clusters on a 3-dimensional information landscape. It is similar to the 2D Cluster Map but is represented with an additional dimension, providing more information about the relative cluster positions. As with the 2D Cluster Map, users are able to select clusters and view specific communications in more detail in order to quickly and easily identify positive and negative trends.
