a Reserva Nacional Cerro Castillo es uno de los atractivos ms famosos de la Patagonia Chilena. Sus agujas de granito, imponentes glaciares y milenarios bosques de lengas (Nothofagus pumilio) constituyen un cono conocido por montaistas y aventureros en todo el mundo. Cerro Castillo se ubica a aprox. 100 km al sur de la ciudad de Coyhaique, capital de la regin de Aysn, y cuenta con buenas conexiones a una variada oferta de servicios tursticos y de transporte. El camino Austral cruza la Reserva cerca de la localidad de Villa Cerro Castillo, ruta escnica que atraviesa la Patagonia Chilena desde los fiordos de Palena hasta los campos de hielo sur. Cerro Castillo National Reserve is one of the most famous attractions of the Chilean Patagonia. Its granite walls, towering glaciers and ancient lenga beech forests (Nothofagus pumilio) are an icon for mountaineers and adventurers worldwide. The Reserve is located approx. 100 km south of the city of Coyhaique, the capital of the Aysen Region, and offers easy access to a wide range of tourist services and transport alternatives. The Austral road crosses the Reserve near the town of Villa Cerro Castillo, a famous scenic route that goes from the fjords in Palena to the southern ice fields through the Chilean Patagonia.

Desde Villa Cerro Castillo comienzan un conjunto de senderos desde un da hasta recorridos de 5-7 das de duracin que ofrecen al visitante toda la diversidad de los paisajes de la Reserva. En invierno, los paisajes nevados congregan a aficionados de deportes como la escalada en hielo y el esqu de travesa. From the town of Villa Cerro Castillo there are trail alternatives starting from one day to multi-day tours, offering visitors the splendid diversity of landscapes within the Reserve. In winter, the snowy landscape attracts sport fans such as ice climbers and backcountry skiers.
