My philosophy on Instructional leadership revolves around the need to bring state standards into perfect alignment with the

district, campus, teachers, ensuring the very best student performance and satisfaction of that success to the parents, community and all stakeholders. The principal should lead from a perspective that meets the three domains and nine competencies of leadership. The principal ideally should be that value-based leader that leads by precept and example. It does not matter how difficult things may be at the time, the principal is responsible for leading that school, faculty, staff and students to higher level of academic achievement and success. The principal also involves the parents and community in this quest to achieve. Very few teachers are able to inspire their students to learn these days. Most of the learning that takes place in the classroom has become a hard task and presented in ways that have no interest and connection to the learner. Learning should always create a level of excitement and desire for the learner to become involved and captivated by what they are being taught. In order for that to happen, the teacher must be endowed with a special grace that allows them to impart knowledge to their students, thereby creating an attitude of excitement and enthusiasm to learn all they can concerning the subject matter. A good principal must possess a strong presence that causes the teachers and students to not only hear their words which are powerful, but the teachers and students should feel a transformation in the spirits of their minds when the principals words come alive to further inspire and open up their understanding. Good Principals are anointed to communicate values

of education that causes their faculty, students, and parents to focus on the value and need of achieving a good education.

Therefore, my philosophy of leadership is strongly rooted in the belief that the principal must possess the spiritual ability to communicate effectively with their faculty, staff, students and parents in a way that stimulates their interest to do their very best on the campus, in the community and forming relationships with each parent. In order to teach the sensitivity that is necessary for Hispanics, African-Americans and other ethnic populations to be successful in this global society, the ability to affirm cultural differences is required which all good principals should possess. Our faculty, students and

stakeholder can only understand and identify with the mission and vision of the district through the commitment and leadership of the principal. This will increase students knowledge of how to adapt to the current changes in our educational system that reinforces the co-teaching and collaboration in research. Our main goal as instructional leaders should be to groom future leaders that will encourage our students to pursue professional careers, and readily prepared them for their baccalaureate, graduate and postgraduate studies. Task 4: Discuss what you learned about yourself in taking this assessment and thinking about your educational philosophy. My Philosophical realm was in the area of the Perennialism which is according to the information the acquisition of knowledge about the great ideas of western culture, including understanding reality, truth, value, and beauty, is the aim of education. I believe in consistency and structure in ones learning as does the information states that the curricula should remain constant across time and context. I also believe that the cultivation of the of the intellect is nourished in the mind of a persons spirituality. Were there any discrepancies between your original ideas about which educational philosophy fit you and results on the Self-Assessment? I would not say that there were discrepancies that occurred from the Self-Assessment, but a distinct clarity to help me understand my philosophical

stance better. Could the instrument be inaccurate in picking up your true philosophy of education? It was pretty close in my view. What does your philosophical orientation imply for how you will teach? Discuss. It implies that my teaching and leadership in more Meta physical in nature because of my strong base in from my Spiritual experience. Ones presence has a great deal to do with how their students view and respect what they say and do.
