Descriptive Essay My Grandmothers House

While my parents are abroad continuing their studies, I was taken good care by my grandmother. She fed me well; she took care of me just like her own son. My uncles too take good care of me when they come home for holidays. All in one, my grandmothers house is the place for reunion during the holidays and the holidays are when the house gets all merry. Even though the houses environment is already what it seems to be a very happy and joy place, the house cannot be merrier without the presence of the siblings of my mom. Each all of them are talkative which makes the houses lights are switched off 1am every holidays. Without my uncles and aunties, the house becomes a lonely place and all that can be heard are the radio that is situated beside the front door. The hustling wind that comes through the front door sure makes the house really silent. Thank God my grandfathers talkative habit breaks the awkward silence that lives in the house. My grandmother is always at the kitchen. In other words, the kitchen is her second bedroom. She is the earliest up from bed and the last to be in bed. I must say that she is the inspiration to all the hard work I did during my SPM. I dont really know why she is the one who inspired me to become a hardworking student, by at least I have been inspired by and the inspirational really helped me to get a nice result. Even though it wasnt as flying colours as I should get, but at least I now have a guaranteed future; as a teacher. My grandmothers house is quite unique as it is in the old days. As far as I know, her house is the only two-storey house there is during the Japan-British war in the 1940s. Apart from that, her house was the only house was dared enough to be painted with multi colours such as yellow, turquoise, green and pink. It made the house really unique and stands out from the rest. The house is located just beside a countryside highway and everyone likes to sell food nearby. A couple of food stalls give tips to my grandmother for letting them to run their business there. The thing that I most liked about the food stalls is, every time when I pass by during the evenings, I was offered to taste their food. Until now I dont really know why, probably because they want to keep their business run smoothly without my family disturbing them even though tips are paid monthly! Well, thats all interesting facts I would like to share with you about my villages heaven. Even though it is not well known like the Kuala Lumpur City Centre, but to me, this village is the cream of my eyes among the other tourist buildings.
