Introduction
1. Addmen Online Test system (OLT) is a generic platform which can be used to conduct any type of Online Test according to different exam patterns. It is not specific to any test pattern. 2. This is a white labelled platform. Your Institutes name and logo is visible all over the Software, no identity of Addmen is disclosed. 3. You can add a link to your website homepage as "Online Test", and connect this easy Online Test Software to your website. 4. If you want to register students for Online Test from your website, then "Online Registration Form" of the software can be added to your website. 5. Payment Gateway is available in software, can be activated if Administrator has subscribed an account. 6. Many Branches, Courses and groups can be created. 7. Admin can create multiple sub-users with limited permissions. 8. The layout of the Test screen might differ slightly from specific exam patterns, but majorly all features are available.

Candidate Registration
Registration at Backend - by Administrator 1. Existing Candidates that are already enrolled in your institute or walk-in enquiries can be registered by Admin or sub-users. 2. Username/Password is generated which can be auto sent by email or SMS after registration. Existing email account can be configured but for SMS, credits must be purchased.

Online Registration on Website by Candidate 1. New candidates or candidates external to your institute, or website visitors can be registered directly from website. On filling the online registration form, they will receive their Username & password on email or through SMS as you have activated. 2. To add a web based registration interface to your website, just add the following code to your webpage. Highlighted parameters can be altered for perfect adjustments.

For Creating New Groups/ Courses 1. Click on the Admissions >> Student >> Edit(Pencil) Icon adjacent to the Course Dropdown, and fill Course Details (course name in "CRIT1" field and select branch in which this course will be visible). 2. If Head office is selected as branch while saving the course then it will be visible for all branches. 3. Each field has specific use, for specific case contact Technical Support.

4. To add new Branch : Dashboard >> Settings Panel >> Master Entries >> Branch >> Add/Edit Branches.

Test Administration
Define Test (See figure 5) 1. Enter Test No & Title 2. Enter Test Duration in Minutes 3. Enter Test Validity (From-To Date) 4. Test Definition 1. A test can be created for selected Branches/ Groups/ Classes/ Batches. Any candidate will see a list of tests that are applicable for his branch/group only. 2. A Test can be defined for two different groups one group which will able to see all tests defined for that group and the other which will able to see Demo Test, for later case Test Title should contain Demo word. So only those tests will be visible to Enquiries. 3. Test can be defined for any number of questions. Test Duration and Period 1. Test can be defined for any duration in minutes. 2. Date and period of the test can be set by the user. Period of test is different from duration of test. For e.g. the test duration is 60 minutes, but activation period can be set as Sunday 3:00pm to 8:00pm. 3. The test will be active for students only during this prescribed period. 4. A candidate can login any time before expiry of active period. 5. Timer is maintained to keep control over test duration and allow re-login in case of accidental logouts; after re-login, candidate will get his remaining time and all the responses made earlier would be saved.

Question Paper Creation 1. You can make your own tests i.e. question paper is your own. 2. The question paper is made in a MS Word file in a specified format. 3. The question paper can contain text, images, diagram, formulas and any font; it can support various structures of questions. 4. Question paper input word file can be made by manually by typing selected questions. 5. Alternatively, it can also be generated from a question bank using Question Paper Generator Software.

6. All questions and their options are typed in one file. On uploading of this file, the software will automatically split questions and options according to online test pattern. 7. Bilingual questions can also be presented if required. The software does not do the translation. The second language text must also be input by the user in the specified format. 8. In the above examples, please note the manner of question entry along with options and answers. Q.1 is a simple ABCD type MCQ. Q.2 is a numerical/integer response question. Q.3 & Q.4 are passage based questions having a common passage as instruction which is given at the end of the question paper in the manner as shown. Q.5 is a Matrix/Column matching type question having multiple possibilities of answers. Question Paper Uploading 1. To upload the Question paper in Word File format: Open the Standalone AdmenSeverUtility >> Click on Utility Option >> Upload Questions >> Browse DOC File (1) >> GetDocData (2) >> Enter Unique TestID (3) >> Save Local (4) >> Upload Data (5) (see Figure6)

2. Check the Uploaded Questions from View Questions Link given in the Question Settings Panel of Online Test Software. 3. Test Instruction and Test Solution files can also be uploaded for the test in .html and .pdf formats.

Question Grouping & Sections 1. Subject/section or topic wise grouping of questions can be done. 2. For Bulk Tagging for all the questions for Subjects/ Marking Scheme/ Question Type/ Topic select from the First dropdown list.

3. To add/update new Subjects: Click on the Subjects pencil link >> Enter the name in the Subject name text, and the Subject can also be hidden from other branches if require. Enter the Branch ids under which this subject should be visible in the particular place of the pop-up panel.

4. Similarly Topics can also be created. 5. On the candidate test screen, by default, all the questions in the test are listed in the order of Question No.. However if required, the questions can be listed grouped by section by selecting a section from the dropdown list. 6. It is possible to make all questions compulsory. 7. It is possible to restrict the candidate not to start another section before completing current section. Tagging Questions Topic tags can be created and applied to questions within a subject/section. For ex. Physics-Light where Physics is subject tag and Light is topic tag within Physics. Tag the Uploaded Questions According to subject/ Marking Schemes/Topics Online Test >> Question Settings >> Select Test >> Question Tagging.

Question Order & Shuffling 1. The software automatically creates multiple sets of the uploaded question paper so that each candidate gets a randomly shuffled question sequence to avoid cheating (See Settings Section). 2. Options numbering can also be changed from A, B, C, D to 1,2,3,4 respectively from the Settings panel (See Settings Section).

Marking Schemes 1. 2. 3. 4. Multiple marking schemes can be created and applied to any question. The software shall support the marking pattern of any type of MCQ Tests. Click on Marking Scheme pencil icon to open the Marking Scheme panel. Enter the marking scheme name, positive/ negative / bonus marks.

If you have Addmen OMR Software, then Cumulative results from both Online Test and OMR Test can be shown. 4. Output can be obtained in printable format or exported to Access, Excel, DBF, CSV or XML formats.

Candidate Interface (Online)


Candidate can update his own basic information and current password if allowed by administrator. ID card of the Logged-in Candidate can be directly viewed in pdf file. Test Schedule and Time Table can be downloaded according to Batch/Group. Practice sheet and Assignments can be downloaded according to Batch/Group. Study Materials can be provided to Candidate in Downloads Panel (See How to Upload Documents Section). 6. If a test is created in advance, then before the activation period it will show in the list with label Coming Soon. 7. If the candidate has not started a test within the active period, it will show the label Expired after the active period is over, otherwise Take Test button will be shown if Candidate has not appeared for the Test, and if has taken test then View Result will be shown. 8. Desktop Test Solution Panel for Downloaded Online Tests (Offline Candidate Interface)
1. Candidates who do not have a continuous access to internet can download the tests and solve them offline. 2. The solution can later be uploaded to the online server, where the results would be compiled and displayed. 3. How to Upload Documents


Uploading Course/Branch/Batch Specific Documents 1. For uploading documents on our server, you will require a FTP Account which is provided after activation of your Online Test Account. 2. Open My Computer and type ftp://omrtestresult.com in the address bar and press enter. 3. Login Panel will appear on the screen. Enter your username and password and click on logon button. 4. If login screen does not appear then click on File Menu > Login as Command. 5. If login is successful then your FTP content will display in the window. 6. Create a folder of Downloads. 7. In the Downloads folder you have to create two more folders named ECAS and Student. 8. Now paste the below named files in Downloads\ECAS\ Folder:
For Assignments : Assignment_ClassCode.pdf ( Ex. Assignment_Class 07.pdf ) For Time-Table : TimeTable_ClassCode.pdf ( Ex. TimeTable_Class 07.pdf ) For Test Schedule : TestSchedule_ClassCode.pdf ( Ex. TestSchedule_Class 07.pdf ) Class Code varies for every institute. For some institute it refers to the value in Class/Batch field (3/4) while for other institutes it refers to value in Course field (1) (See How to create Course/Batches).

9. These uploaded files now will be visible for only Candidates registered under that particular Class/Batch.

Uploading Study Material visible for All Students 1. Follow the above steps first for logging in the FTP Account and to make folder Downloads and in downloads folder ECAS & Student. 2. The files which are stored in the Downloads/Student/ folder are visible for all candidates. 3. Similarly you can create Enquiry/Admin/Staff folders in Downloads folder to show files for that particular Member.

Settings Panel
Candidate Registration Form Layout Settings 1. Administrator who has the permissions can enter to this panel from Settings Icon in Dashboard panel. 2. Registration Form Layout Settings, Online Test Settings, User Permissions Settings can be done from this Panel. Candidate Registration Form Layout Settings 1. Select Member type Student/Enquiry/Admin >> Select the Fields & press Edit Icon in the Last Column. 2. Change the Display Name, Behavior and Mapping ID of this field. 3. Mapping ID is the Master ID under which the values of Dropdowns are stored. For E.g.: Mapping ID = 241 is for the Course Dropdown values. Note: Changing Mapping ID can cause Data Misplaced. 4. You can give a desired the caption (Label) of the Field by in Display name column. 5. Mcode1/Mcode2 are used for Roll number generation purpose which are mostly set only once at the time of creation of account.

Various Behaviors are: 0 = Hide the Field. 1 = Simple Entry Field (Textbox). 5 = Simple Entry Field which will be Compulsory (Textbox with Red Label for Compulsory). 2 = Non Editable Dropdown box which will be compulsory (Dropdown with Red Label for Compulsory). 20 = Editable Dropdown box which will be compulsory (Dropdown with Red Label for Compulsory and Pencil Icon for Editing). 3 = Non Editable Dropdown box. 30 = Editable Dropdown box (Dropdown with Pencil Icon for Editing).

System Settings 1. Configure Email/SMS Details, Change the Organization details, Online Test Settings and other settings are performed from this tab. 2. For Changing Organization details, click on the pencil icon in the last column with Name column having Organization name. 3. Update Name, phone, address of the Institute which will be reflected while logging-in the next time.

If Options to be visible as A, B, C, D enter 0 else 1 for 1,2,3,4. Candidate Information will be visible in small top left panel while appearing a test if entered 1 else 0 will hide candidates details from test panel.

User Permissions 1. Select Specific Branch, member type and the name of member to whom permission is to be given. 2. General rights include: the one who can change the organization details/ Online Test Settings / can set User permissions/ can delete Students/Tests data etc. 3. Server Technical Specifications for Installing on your own Server


1. A Server running on MS Windows server 2008 with MS SQL 2008/2012 shall be required. 2. The software user interface can be run on any current day PC running on Windows OS. 3. Unzipping Software c. Antivirus d. PC Cleaner e. PDF Writer f. Windows PowerShell 1.0 (if Required) g. MS Office Enterprise 2007 (if Required) h. Crystal Reports 8.5 (if Required) 5. Do not change regional (date-time) settings to India. Let it be U.S. (default).

Installation Process for your own Server


1. Configure IIS : Control Panel >> Programs and Features >> Turn Windows Features On/Off >> Select all IIS Checkboxes >> OK/Apply 2. Provide Full Permissions to folder "C:\Addmenonline\Serverdata" and "C:\Addmenonline\Admenecas", to the following Users: User: IUSR, ADMINISTRATOR, ADMINISTRATORS, IIS_USRS, SQLSERVERMSSQLUSER. 7. Install Dot Net Framework 3.5 (Stored in Softwares Folder). 8. Open IIS Manager For Admenecas Project Server Manager >> Select the IIS Server Manager >> Expand to select Roles >> Webserver >> IIS >> Server Name >> Sites >> Default Website >> Right Click on Default Website >> Add Application >> Alias="Admenecas", Application Pool="Default App pool", Physical Path="C:Addmenonline\Admenecas" 9. For Settings Panel Project >> Right Click on Default Website >> Add Application >> Alias="Settingspanel", Application Pool="Default App pool", Physical Path="C:Addmenonline\SettingsPanel". 10. For Report Server Project >> Right Click on Default Website >> Add Application >> Alias="ReportServerAsp", Application Pool="Default App pool", Physical Path="C:Addmenonline\Admenecas\ReportServer".
