PERSONAL PLATFORM (IN NO MORE THAN 200 WORDS):

For my platform I will cut right down to the chase, below are the three main
objectives that would highlight my presidency should I be elected as batch president. My
platform have the initials of U EN MI:
1. Make sure that UNITY will be the top priority of this batch
 This boot camp is geared to produce the best marketing management student by
trimming down the best and the brightest, but I believe that it will be more
productive if our batch would work as a unified entity and sharing ideas instead of a
gladiator style, no holds barred, may the best man/woman win kind of mentality. My
th
goal is for all 31 scholars of this program to graduate on the 5 of December by
helping one another.
2. Create EXCITING and NEW ideas to share with the world
 If everyone in this batch is united, I know that there will be more ideas that will be
generated. This goes with the saying, ‘two heads are better than one’ ideas that
comes from combined effort of several people would indeed be awesome and will
definitely be more or less an epiphany for a country needing an agent of change.
3. Lastly MOTIVATE INDUSTRIES towards more values oriented practices and opening

Page 1
more opportunities for new graduates
 Our efforts as a batch to help other aspiring graduates like ourselves should not end
once we graduate both the program and college, it should continue once we are in
the industry. Should we choose to go corporate, we will be the ones to bare the
seeds of change in those corporation to initiate activities in the same likeness as
Markprof, and likewise if we choose to start our own business we will instill the
values learned here in Markprof and strive for the betterment of both our business
and likewise our social responsibility.

Why should you be elected as Batch 2009 president (in no more than 200
words)?
To begin with, it may be a cliché to all but I want to serve. As a Christian, our Lord and
Savior Jesus exemplified a life of what a true leader is, by being a servant to all, from the
rich to the poor and most especially the lost souls He helped them all. In that context, I
made a personal covenant between God and myself not so long ago that I would do
everything I can to excel in what I do, and at the same time reflect the Christian values that
most leaders, especially the ones in the government, have forgotten.
Another reason why I want to be elected is because I am a person that hates to be
stagnant, and this coming semester I have three subjects left and I only need to
concentrate on one because I acquired several incentives from the office of the dean for
competing and winning several competitions, I got an exemption for the two out of the
three subjects. As for the commitment and punctuality, my schedule would allow me to be
flexible and spend more time with Markprof officers because I would only be going to
school twice a week and it is an evening class. To make the long story short, if I don’t come
on time, that means I will not be there at all. Time is always of the essence for me because
a second, lost is a second lost forever.
As for dissemination of information to my fellow batch mates, they need not
worry because my phone is under a post-paid plan and credit is not an issue, likewise data
transfer is also not a problem since I have my own personal computer that runs on a high-
speed internet cable service that is opened 24 hrs. a day, 7 days a week, so should anyone
need a file from me that is to large, transfer is not a problem, and you could easily contact
me through my accounts in yahoo messenger, Facebook and multiply because as stated
earlier I am online most of the time.
I placed these things not to brag or boast. These are mere options for the batch to
make their stay in Markprof as convenient as possible.

PERSONAL PLATFORM

For my platform, there are only three things that I would like to emphasize.

1. Harmony

This bootcamp exposes us to the toughest competition we might ever face

in our lifetime. I believe that as of now, this is the priority of each MP6
member (next to God of course). With such pressure of having to be the
best in every way, friction may arise among any of us. As such, if I would
be elected batch president, I will exert all possible efforts to ensure that a
harmonious relationship will rule over all of us making all our endeavors
aligned with a healthy competition.

2. Excellence

All of us are the best in our own fields and respective schools. However in
this bootcamp, we are all on the same level as trainees. As what we have
been told during our orientation, we are all expected to meet the standards
of MarkProf. Through this aspect of my platform, I will put forth all possible
means of encouragement and provide moral support to everyone.

3. Social Responsibility

I align with MarkProf’s objective of creating positive social change.

MarkProf’s effort to produce 25 catalysts every year is a noble way of
giving back to society. In line with this, I want to be instrumental in
encouraging my batch mates to take on advocacies that will help society
and influence them to be socially responsible wherever they may go or in
whatever career they pursue.

WHY SHOULD YOU BE ELECTED AS BATCH 2009 PRESIDENT?

Service is a value well embedded in my character through the positions I

have held over the past few years. I believe the experience I have gained
through various countless endeavors involving resource and people
management qualifies me for this position.

Information dissemination is also not an issue because I have three active

phone lines, one of which is a post paid line. I am willing to extend my effort
and resources for the success of our batch and the benefit of everyone.

PERSONAL PLATFORM

For my personal platform I will be using my SUCCESS FORMULA:

TEAMWORK E.D.G.E.

E: Establish lasting friendships

I aim to build rapport, and positive and fruitful experience between the
members of MarkProf’s Batch 2009.
D: Discover and reflect on Leadership
As we are focused on leadership in marketing, it will be effective to
complement it with discovering and reflecting on leadership skills and
principles from personal experiences or different books that may help all
members in being better leaders while in Markprof, especially because we
are all student leaders.
G: Grade Development and Monitoring
This is to be done via group and buddy system. Online review days will also
be established for the benefit of all.
E: Entertain
To loosen things up, one team per session will prepare an icebreaker to be
performed on their designated day

Page 4
Teamwork E.D.G.E. signifies that the MarkProf experience will be easier
and enjoyable when all members cooperate and support each other by
creating mutual trust, rapport and by helping build each other as the TOP
Marketing Management Trainees of MarkProf. The edge of our teamwork is
that we can be the best batch Markprof has ever seen.

WHY SHOULD YOU BE ELECTED AS BATCH 2009 PRESIDENT?

“Treat a man as he is and he will remain as he is; treat a man as he can be

and he should be, and he will become as he can and should be.- Goethe”

As a MarkProf Marketing Management Trainee, I am motivated and inspired

because I am given a chance to advance in my career path, an opportunity
for my personal success. As I have always believed in making the best out
of every moment of my life, I make sure that I experience everything
possible wherever I am and always try to make a difference whenever
possible. This is what clearly defines me.
I believe I can enforce a good platform that can contribute to the
competence, confidence and correlation of each of this year’s Top
Marketing Management Trainees that will surely play a part in their self-
motivation to graduate as one of the MarkProf’s Top 25.
