Click any alphabet to browse words beginning with that alphabet. You can also type Alt+alphabet. b. Typing a letter on the keyboard will take you to the page which contains the word beginning with the alpahabet clicked and the second letter as the one typed.

Tip :- Typing 'Z' would take you to the last page of the clicked alphabet and typing 'A' would take you to the first page. c. Press the '>' button on the screen to move to the next page and the '<' button to move to the previous page. d. You can also type 'Right Arrow' or 'Down Arrow' to move to the next page. 'Left Arrow' or 'Up Arrow' takes you to the previous page. e. Keeping the arrows continuously pressed takes you fast forward or reverse. f. Clicking the 'Appendix' buttom takes you to Abbreviations, Irregular Verbs and Greek Alphabets. g. Click the 'Speaker' button to mute audio, click again on the same button to cancel mute. Press 'Ctrl + Esc' to go to the desktop and adjust volume. h. Click the 'Quit' button to exit. You can also press the 'Esc' key to exit. i. Press 'Esc' to skip opening animation. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------How to use the Pals e-Dictionary Search Application a. Click on the Option Button to select the following : 1. English or Tamil Interface 2. Whole or Partial Word Search b. Select 'E' Button to enter search words in English and the 'T' Button to enter search words in Tamil or you can also Press F3 to toggle between English and Tamil. c. The Tamilnet99 Keyboard layout has to be used for Tamil typing. (Press F8 for Tamilnet99 keyboard layout on-screen) d. Type the English or Tamil word to be searched in the Search Text Box. e. Press Enter or the 'Search' Button to start the Search function. f. The application displays the meaning of the word in the Display Window. g. In case the word has multiple meanings, those words are shown in the List Box. Clicking on any of these words displays the meaning of that word. h. In case you want to know the meaning of any word shown in the Display Window, you can click on that word. i. In case you wish to know the list of all words that contains a particular word in the text of its meaning, please enter the word in the Search Text Box and Click the 'Extended Search' Button. This facility in most cases would give an appropriate list of Synonyms. j. In the case of Tamil words the 'Search' and the 'Extended Search' Buttons behave in a simillar fashion. This gives a Partial Tamil-English Dictionary.

k. Click the '?' Button for help. l. Click the '-' Button to minimize the Application. m. Click the 'X' Button to exit the Application. n.
