What does this mean? We should fear and love God so that we do not curse, swear, use satanic arts, lie, or deceive by His name, but call upon it in every trouble, pray, praise, and give thanks. Call upon me in the day of trouble. Psalm 50:15 For the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain. Exodus 20:7 Week 6 THE THIRD COMMANDMENT Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. What does this mean? We should fear and love God so that we do not despise preaching and His word, but hold it sacred and gladly hear and learn it. Let us not give up meeting together. Hebrews 10:25 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth. Joshua 1:8

THE FOURTH COMMANDMENT Honor your father and your mother. What does this mean? We should fear and love God so that we do not despise or anger our parents and other authorities, but honor them, serve and obey them, love and cherish them. Children, obey your parents in everything, for this pleases the Lord. Colossians 3:20 Therefore, whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed. Romans 13:2

Week 10 THE FIFTH COMMANDMENT You shall not murder. What does this mean? We should fear and love God so that we do not hurt or harm our neighbor in his body, but help and support him in every physical need. Week 11 Be kind to one another. Ephesians 4:32 Everyone who hates his brother is a murderer. 1 John 3:15 Week 12 THE SIXTH COMMANDMENT You shall not commit adultery. What does this mean? We should fear and love God so that we lead a sexually pure and decent life in what we say and do, and husband and wife love and honor each other. Week 13 Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit? 1 Corinthians 6:19 You were bought with a price. So glorify God with your body. 1 Corinthians 6:20 Week 14 THE SEVENTH COMMANDMENT You shall not steal. What does this mean? We should fear and love God so that we do not take our neighbors money or possessions, or get them in any dishonest way, but help him to improve and protect his possessions and income.

Week 15 Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have. Hebrews 13:16 Let the thief no longer steal, but rather let him labor doing honest work. Ephesians 4:28

Week 16 THE EIGHTH COMMANDMENT You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor. What does this mean? We should fear and love God so that we do not tell lies about our neighbor, betray him, slander him, or hurt his reputation, but defend him, speak well of him, and explain everything in the kindest way.

Week 17 Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves. Proverbs 31:8 Do not speak evil against one another. James 4:11

Week 18 THE NINTH COMMANDMENT You shall not covet your neighbors house. What does this mean? We should fear and love God so that we do not scheme to get our neighbors inheritance or house, or get it in a way which only appears right, but help and be of service to him in keeping it. Week 19 Now there is great gain in godliness with contentment. 1 Timothy 6:6 But sin . . . produced in me every covetous desire. Romans 7:8 Week 20 THE TENTH COMMANDMENT You shall not covet your neighbors wife, or his man-servant or his maidservant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor. What does this mean? We should fear and love God so that we do not entice or force away our neighbors wife, workers, or animals, or turn them against him, but urge them to stay and do their duty.

Week 21 Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Philippians 2:4 Take care and be on your guard against all kinds of greed. Luke 12:15 Week 22 Lead me in the path of your commandments, for I delight in it. Psalm 119:35 Beautiful Savior, King of Creation, Son of God and Son of Man Truly Id love Thee, Truly Id serve thee, Light of my soul, my Joy, my crown.

Week 23 THE APOSTLES CREED (first part) I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended into hell. The third day he rose again from the dead. Week 24 THE APOSTLES CREED (last part) He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From thence He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy Christian Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen. Week 25 For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16 For by grace you have been saved, through faithand this is not your own doing, it is the gift of Godnot a result of works, so that no one may boast. Ephesians 2:8-9 Week 26 But I trust in you, O Lord; I say, You are my God. Psalm 31:14 I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13

Week 27 THE WORDS OF INSTITUTION (first part) Our Lord Jesus Christ, on the night when He was betrayed, took bread, and when He had given thanks, He broke it and gave it to the disciples and said: Take eat, this is my body which is given for you. This do in remembrance of Me. Week 28 THE WORDS OF INSTITUTION (last part) In the same way also He took the cup after supper, and when He had given thanks, he gave it to them, saying: Drink of it all of you; this is my blood of the new testament which is shed for you for the forgiveness of sins. This do as often as you drink it in remembrance of Me.
