The purpose of the platform is to minimize the time used to search for a defined meaning of a piece of communication.

The main function of the platform is to identify and label a communication (photo, word, acronym, audio, etc.) from any medium (text, email, web page, etc.) as the communication from a defined database and make the information associated with that communication from the database easily accessible to users. Platform needs the following medium skimmers: text/SMS, email, web page, and converter where documents can be uploaded if they werent originally typed or cannot be identified because of older technology.

DEFINITIONS User: A user is anyone subscribed to samepage or has downloaded the app, platform, skimmer, etc. User lists are assembled by the owner or subowner based on whichever categories they choose and can be defined as public or private groups. (i.e. user list of people with the same email handle, friends of users, etc.) Owner: The administrator of a samepage who has the most control over a samepage URL. Subowner: The owner can give temporary permissions to any user, making them a subowner. The subowner can create or edit sections of the samepage platform. Sections include but are not limited to: groups, banks, clusters, cluster tabs, and user lists. The owner can allow or restrict the subowner to release to the group or public the created or edited sections. Group: A specific samepage community made identifiable by a unique samepage URL. Groups can be private or public, and can be based on a user list. (i.e. www.samepage.com/boyscouts, www.samepage.com/boyscouts/publicuserlist, samepage.com/boyscouts/privateuserlist) Bank: A list of words, images, acronyms, and other pieces of communication defined by a samepage owner. Banks can be made public or private to any of the samepage groups. Banks can be customized by owners and subowners, exported, shared, sold, uploaded, separated, etc.

(i.e. A bank can include a tidbit short-hand definition, cluster long-hand definition, sound bite, image, cluster tabs and their associated info, maps, etc. Each bank can be exported or separated in order to assign the bank to a specific user list or to sell/share to a different samepage URL owner.) Dog ear: (symbol: ) a form of a symbol, text treatment, or other method of differentiation that marks a word, sound, movie, image, acronym, or other communication piece which has been predefined in a samepage bank. The dog eared communication can be found in texts, web pages, email or other communication mediums. Activating a public dog-eared communication gives an inquirer more information about the communication, or sends the unsubscribed user to a request for sign up.
Platform recognizes words/acronyms/keywords with ed, ing, or in in lowercase at the end of word/acronym without spell check or auto correction. Platform also recognizes acronyms with periods inbetween letters. Platform auto caps lowercase acronyms. Should not autocorrect it because it will try to make it a word.

Tidbit: a box that hovers over an activated dog ear. The tidbit gives a short-hand definition of the dog eared communication. The tidbit can be activated by single clicking on the dog ear, or by voice activation or sixth-sense activation. Tidbits can hover over a text box, email, web page, or other communication medium. The tidbit has a limited amount of characters set by samepage HQ and the samepage owner. Cluster: another box which has tabs and offers more information about the communication than the tidbit does. A cluster can be activated by double clicking or right clicking the dog eared communication, or by clicking a tab in the tidbit. Cluster tabs are found within the cluster box and are defined by the samepage owner. They release information within the same box.

This platform will allow a user to read, hear, share, contribute to, and communicate specifically defined communications.
ADVERTISEMENT
All users will have the option to pay a fee to have advertisementfree access to the app. The advertisement can be the same for each TidBit, it can be unique to the keyword, or it can be in rotation of other advertisements.

ACCESS POINT: QR CODE. Each samepage group is assigned a code for a fee. The code will allow anyone with a smart phone to read a physical code/image and have the option to sign up for the associated group. The code is designed to reduce new user searching time and helps an owner promote their list. ACCESS POINT II: Tap a friend to get them on the same page by phones physically touching.

A user can join any public groups samepage. Users can join a private group with a unique passcode, or other pass protect like a users company email address. i.e. linda@abccompany.com User can use voice recognication to call out and search dog ears, cluster tabs, etc. Sounds can come from the samepage as well. (i.e. There are no notes or, a sound of rejection, tapping a friend, or other confirmation is heard.) Dog eared communications can have early recognition like autocorrect of dog ear terms with on/off option. This should allow a user to type an acronym with or without periods, with or without all uppercase letters without it autocorrecting. It would trump the autocorrect because it will look for communications from the bank first. User can sign up for weekly email which will give an overview of new dog ears/cluster tabs/etc or updates to them. This information will be on each samepage URL homepage. User can set their samepage subscription as private so that other people cannot see that they subscribe to it. (i.e. for perverted samepages) User will be able to turn GPS on/off so that the maps can work within their cluster tab.

CONTACT LISTS: NoteThe platform works regardless of other contacts linked to a samepage. Therefore, the user can use samepage as is without needing another user to communicate back and forth with.
Uploading and identifying contacts: Contacts in a users phone, email platform, social media contact databases, etc. can be uploaded and categorized to a samepage group. If the contact is a user of samepage, it will indicate which groups the contact is a subscriber to (only shows if the contact chooses to publically disclose the subscription of the group). This lets the user know if they are on the samepage group. And, it also allows them to invite them to a group if they see they are not a part of it. Hit Confirmations Will ring / an alert will sound when a user adds a contact and they have a shared same page list. This will allow users to know if a new contact is on the same page. This will be done by giving all users an option of a Hit Check when adding a contact. Option to silence hit confirmations available too. There will be a Hit Bar to show how many lists a user shares with a contact. Next to the users name there will be a number of lights corresponding to the number of lists/same pages the user shares with the contact. (similar to linkedins ability to upload your contact list to invite them to linkedin. And, similar to Microsofts outlook where there is a colored light indicating someone is online or available. The samepage lights would indicate same group, by hovering over the light you can see which group/s is shared.)

SAMEPAGES: GROUPS AND BANKS

A samepage URL is essentially a group and a group is based on a contact list/s. The contact list/s has an associated bank/s. A user may have multiple samepages or groups within a samepage. Either way, the samepage URL will be different. The users dashboard will allow URLs to be prioritized and can also be set to a default. This will make the program first recognize an acronym from URL_1 and then from URL_2.

Communications being typed out can be identified as a communication from URL_1 or URL_2. This could be by the dog ear turning a certain color, the word a certain color/highlighted, text treatment, etc.

DOG EARS
Voting system, and/or ability to submit words to owner to be added: The user can define a dog ear by submitting the dog ear information (which could be in tidbit, cluster, or cluster tab) to the owner. The owner can agree or poll the group to vote or make corrections to it. Expanded dog ears: When the user types an acronym, it spits out the spelling of it. Therefore, there would be a setting available for expanded dog ear on/ off. (i.e. Grandma has the setting on so instead of receiving a text with USMC, she will get United States Marine Corps.) Updated terms will be highlighted in text so that users know that the definition has been updated in the last 30 days. These will be identified with a fresh leaf in the corner rather than the dog ear. User has the ability to get these updates in a weekly email or can visit the samepage URL homepage. The leaf will deactivate and go back to a dog ear after the new meaning has been viewed. User can submit to owner suggestions of terms that arent working correctly because of auto recognition or other problems. TIDBITS: The dog ears will be displayed in a text message box called a tidbit. Single clicking or voice activating the dog ear in SMS, email, and browsers on smart phones and on computers creates a popup over the highlighted communcation. The popup, also called a TidBit, includes the short-hand definition/explanation which was defined by the owner in the bank. To exit the TidBit, click on the whitespace in the SMS box, or around the TidBit. There is an advertisement box in each TidBit. Clicking on it brings the user to a new window to URL of advertisement. CLUSTERS The cluster will take the user out of the tidbit and onto a Cluster page. The cluster will allow the user to have an expanded definition, limited to 250 words or whatever the owner sets as a limit. The cluster will have tabs which can be customized by owner to explain more information about the topic.

CLUSTER TABS Clusters have tabs which better explain the dog ear term. A template of 5 tabs is given to samepage owner to customize/rename. The 5 template tabs include: Notes, Cautions, Warning, Contact, Maps. More tabs may be added or subtracted. EXAMPLES BELOW (NOT AS IMPORTANT RIGHT NOW) NOTES: For example, if the Boy Scouts are planning a weekend camp out the notes could be a list of camping items recommended for the trip. CAUTIONS: The cautions could list any hazards or assumed risks or concerns. WARNINGS: This page is designed to allow users an opportunity to express any concern or caveat to a tidbit. It will also include owner-defined common misconceptions of a word to other words closely related which pose a threat to miscommunication. CONTACT: The contact part of the Cluster will allow a point of contact to be immediately added to the contacts list . MAPS: The maps link will allow the user to create a map link associated with the word. This could be the origin of the word, physical location, or any aspect of the associated with any location.

Banks includes dog ear term/image/audio/etc., tidbit of dog ear which is a shorthand definition which can be limited by owner to number of characters, expanded dog ears, cluster long-hand definitions of dog ear which can be limited by owner to number of characters with or without additional content like an image, amount of cluster tabs, cluster tab names, cluster tab content. Priority of recognized dog ears : The words/communications in a bank can be prioritized and/or set to a default. This is to minimize miscommunication of the dog ear if there are multiple definitions. Updated content: Dog ears can be labeled as updated with the choice to notify the group or not. Dog ears that are chosen to notify the group will be highlighted in text so that users know that the definition has been updated in the last 30 days. Or, with a fresh green leaf on it instead of a dog ear. Owner has the option to say whether it is a freshly updated (green leaf) or an urgent message. The dog ear communication will be un-freshed after someone views it. Or, the owner has the ability to un-fresh a term after a period of time. Cluster entry dates will be stamped at the bottom of each cluster page and cluster tab page.
