2014 SPRING TRAINING GAME NOTES MARCH 19, 2014 VS. MILWAUKEE BREWERS
2014 Spring Training: 2-0, 2.13 in 4 G, 3 GS: W #2 3/13 at AZ; allowed 1 ER in 4.2 IP (5 H, 4 K, 0 BB)...W #1 3/8 at LAD; allowed 3 R (1 ER) in 1st, but did not allow a run in 2nd or 3rd...worked 3.0 IP, and allowed a 2-out run in 3rd, 3/3 vs. COL...made spring debut in relief on 2/27 vs. SD, tossing 2.0 shutout frames (1H, 1 BB, 1 K). Had two separate stints with the Mariners, April 1-30 and June 6-July 11, appearing in 12 games, 2 starts. Went 0-1 with a 5.28 ERA (17 ER, 29.0 IP) in 10 relief appearances and 0-1 with an 8.44 ERA (10 ER, 10.2 IP) in 2 startshad never appeared in a game in relief in his pro or amateur career prior to 2013. Finished 6-6 with a 5.55 ERA (58 ER, 94.0 IP) in 16 starts with AAA Tacoma. Went 11-11 with 4.43 ERA in 26 starts for the Mariners in 2012ranked 2nd in AL with 1.42 walks per 9.0 innings (Colon - 1.36).
