RadioProgrammingforIDASGPSwithEzyDispatch
After radios are programmed and the Ezy Dispatch Interface installed, third party mapping software can be used with the radios.
Prerequisites
CS-F3160/5060 Software, version 2.8 or greater F3160 or 5060 Series radios WITH UT-126 Digital boards installed OPC-1122 (mobile radios) or OPC-966 (portable radios) cloning cable HM-170 modified for GPS use. To enable GPS, the Vcc Cut Point must be soldered (see page 5). DB25 to DB9 Serial Cable for use between the computer and the Base Station Radio
UsetheCorrectSoftware
Use the latest version of the standard CS-F3161/5061 software.

The radio should already have standard digital settings programmed to be able to use IDAS GPS. In addition, all frequencies need to be entered and the squelch level must be set before programming the following settings.

GPS/CommonWindow
Setting / Description Set to Enable to allow your radio to transmit position data automatically, as set in the Time Marker and Interval Timer fields. This is the reference time when your GPS signals are initiated within your system. In this example, this would be 10 minutes after the hour. Once the Time Marker starts, each radio in the fleet must send its position data at a time offset from each other so that no radio is transmitting at the same time. For example: radio 1 would transmit at 10 minutes, 30 seconds; radio 2 would transmit at 10 minutes plus 90 seconds, etc. The time in the Interval Timer will be different for each radio to allow for an offset between GPS transmissions.
GPS/DigitalWindow
Setting / Description If set to Enable, your radio will send the position data to a specific base station. Specify the base station ID to receive your position data by doubleclicking the field and selecting the base station from the list. Specify the base station to receive your position data by double-clicking the field and selecting the base station from the list. This is for IDAS trunking only.
