In literary works, writers seek to make an impression by using a personal and idiosyncratic style o writing.

unjustiied ealuations typical o tabloid style. Keep a clear mind and critical distance or the issues
addressed ,identiying with the subject studied can quickly lead to bias,. Aoid phrases such as as
known,` eerybody agrees,` eerybody knows,` and so on, as well as the use o passie orm ,e.g., it is
concluded,` it is analyzed,` it is obtained, `etc.,.

\rite the text consistently in the present tense ,this demonstrates,` this tests,` `this shows,` this
describes` and not this has shown,` this will test,` etc.,.

Use identical expressions or the same items ,e.g., companies` must remain companies` at all times, do
not use companies` and then randomly switch to organizations` and corporations`,.

usually the result o unorganized ideas in the writer`s head. Using oerly long descriptions ,erbosity, is
uneconomical and time-consuming or both the writer and the reader, in addition, it oten completely

1here is oten a ine line between citation and plagiarism in written works, which students at all leels
sometimes also ind ery diicult to understand. Instead o using their creatiity to improe their personal
research, they express this creatiity by inding ,and sometimes een buying, ready-made term papers that

higher leels. 1here is no excuse or this actiity. 1he same is true or word-or-word copying o works by
other authors without citing the source, this is a clear example o 6DCB<C;<8G - that is, stealing the
intellectual property o another person, or which appropriate sanctions or indiidual program leels are
deined by the applicable rules.

In written works you must FD7C;D5 C>A @>CGQ<B@9@8D5 distinguish your own text ,i.e., thoughts,
indings, ideas, data, illustrations, etc., rom that o another person or rom other people`s indings, data,
illustrations, and so on.

1here are two options:

1. (9B<FCDD5 8@GGC;<K7 another person`s text, indings, data, and illustrations <> 59@; 9X> X9;A8
when you cite the source. In this, you can use one o the ollowing methods:

Make a reerence to the author`s last name within the text and insert the year and ,or ease o
location, page number in parentheses ,otherwise, APA does not require page reerences or non-
quotations,. 1his rule also applies when the work cited has two authors. I you cite a work by
three, our, or ie authors, list the last names o all the authors the irst time you cite the work. In
