Sharing Knowledge, Dreams and Ideas with SEG SC UGM Ten years ago, my mom who worked in a coal

company brought a big pile of coal. It was my first interest in mineral subject that I recall (although coal isnt actually a real mineral itself since it wasnt made from inorganic matter). She is also the person who told me about working in field, despite her real profession as an accountant manager in the company. Back then, I didnt think about studying in the field of geology at all, but I know that it interest me more than any toys I had back then. Student Chapter Society of Economic Geologist, or better known as the SEG SC, which is one organization that is standing in the shade of geological engineering HMTG UGM is the first organization to appear on the day of introduction HMTG that focused on study of economic minerals and such things. As the first organization that comes, I think that this organization seems special, not only because of it remind me of the day when my mom introduce me to coal, but also because its different from the two organizations afterwards. Surprisingly, it turns out my hunch. Its the only organization which study the mineral subject, when the two other organizations subject is mainly about petroleum. As an organization that stands youngest most than the other two organizations, SEG SC has made achievements that should be appreciated. One of his achievements was the successful SEG volcanologist study with a woman who comes from abroad. Honestly, my biggest interest is actually volcanology. Yet back in the day of presentation SEG presented their journey with one of the famous female volcanologist in the world. Then, I realize that all subjects within geology are united. As my study in geology continues, my interest in mineral grows after I find correlation between volcanology and minerals. Not only I want to know and understand much about minerals, but I also want to explore and exploit it under the name of SEG SC UGM, and I hope someday, in the name of Indonesia. With such a big dream, I know I cant fulfill those things alone. I need help. I need something to support me in material, knowledge, and people who share their dreams and knowledge with me, and share the same goal with various ideas and efforts. I want to be helped, yet I also want to help. I want to share what I have and give what I can give in various ways to achieve the goal of people. I need an organization to grow, and in exchange

Ill expand and develop the organization. I believe that SEG SC UGM in geological engineering is the organization I seek for. Now I already one step closer to my dream, but there is still a long path in front of me. I hope by joining SEG SC UGM I can walk towards the path Ive chosen while helping SEG SC UGM itself to grow and expand it. Ever since I saw SEG SCs presentation back in October, I already have my eyes to this organization. Back then, I thought I want to grow up with this organization. Not in this organization but with this organization. I want to be one of the people who make it bigger and more successful in all aspects. I want to learn and give something to learn as well. To become a member of one of the most wanted organization in geological engineering in Gadjah Mada University, to become a member of SEG SC UGM. I hope this motivation letter is enough to convey and express my feelings about joining the SEG SC UGM and you can consider me as one of the member candidate of SEG SC UGM.
