Professional Experience
April 2010 Current - RSCM (Responsible Supply Chain Management), Currently La Paz, Bolivia & Previously Copenhagen, Denmark INDEPENDENT INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS CONSULTANT February 2013- Current: Chuquisaca & Chaco, BOLIVIA- Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) Responsible for the drafting of Canadian development policy in Bolivia to continue after current programme scope of 2014. Framing of a Canadian $9m per annum budget focussed on (a) sustainable/ responsible business particularly with focus on mining sector and CSR and (b) maternal and child health. Special focuses are within the promotion and strengthening of supply chains in the mining and agricultural sectors. December 2013- January 2014: BOLIVIA- World Bank Technical assistance for the development of the design phase of a new USD 50m project called PROANDINO. Project is focused on the generation of increased revenues through the exportation of Bolivian quinoa. Responsible for the analysis of international supply chains and the bottlenecks hindering exports. Responsible for the collection of key indicators and information for the final economic analysis of the World Bank central project team. Aim is to increase Bolivian exports and identify new international markets. November 2013- February 2014: Department of Tarija, BOLIVIA- German International Development Cooperation (GIZ) Responsible for securing funding of 250,000 project. Project is focused on water stewardship and sustainability for the wine industry in Southern Bolivia. In charge of identifying challenges in water use and creating a business model focusing on sustainable water-use. Beneficiaries are some 6,000 families living downstream of the wineries in the valleys of Tarija. Further beneficiaries include the entire urban zone of Tarija where stronger management of an acutely scarce resource is paramount. October & November 2013: Departments of La Paz, Oruro and Potosi, BOLIVIA- UNs International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD)Technical assistance for the development of the design phase of a new USD 30m project called DIA. Project is focused on income generation in farming of camelids (llamas and alpacas) in the Bolivian highlands. In charge of the project analysis of value chains, bottlenecks (for local, regional and export markets). Was responsible for the creation of a USD 10m budget to encourage business plans for small micro-businesses during the course of a five-year period. During the course of these five years, the beneficiaries will be 4,050 families (which accounts for some 19,500 people including dependents), benefiting from support for 270 new companies. These business plans aim to incorporate a minimum of 40% women and 15% youths. Successful applicants for support to their small business plans will be in areas of value-added business such as with meat, leather and wool. Further areas such as tourism and other local income-generation are encourage through this strategy. February - October 2013: Departments of Pando and Santa Cruz, BOLIVIA- Danida A Nordic high-end wooden furniture designer beginning local production of quality Scandinavian designed furniture using exclusive and exotic, certified Bolivian woods. Responsible for support of USD 800,000 from Danidas Business

Partnerships for Development for the company. Danida is financing the company to review and assess the entire supply chain to create local production, sustainable forestry practices in indigenous and highly isolated regions and working with Bolivian partners to access high-margin export markets. Was further responsible for the companys CSR-profile working with the UNs Global Compact, fair trade and FSC wood. The main beneficiaries are the 200 people directly employed within the carpentry shops and related industries. These producers are improving supply chains which guarantee the procurement of legal timber in Pando and the northern regions of Department of Santa Cruz.

March September 2013: BOLIVIA, PERU AND ECUADOR- Danida. Employed by Denmarks leading seedmachinery producer to assist them start operations in the Latin American region. Responsible for identifying partners and industries with quinoa at the forefront. Responsible for securing support of approximately USD 800,000 from Danidas Business Partnerships for Development for the project. Was in charge of the analysis of entire quinoa supply chain in the Bolivian highlands and analysing how to work with farmers and landowners. This was in order to increase yields, reduce impacts, separate seeds, filter out seeds for local and longer term markets and exploring deeper fair trade and organic certification for Bolivian quinoa. The primary beneficiaries are farmers of quinoa throughout the highlands by improving their access to necessary machinery and basic technical know-how. March - July 2013: Altiplano, BOLIVIA & PERU- Danida. Scandinavian high-end fashion brand beginning production locally of quality designed clothing and home accessories using exclusive and unknown lama wool and leather. Responsible for support of USD 800,000 from Danidas Business Partnerships for Development for the company. In charge of full supply chain analysis of the llama industry. This included leather, wool and meat all the way back to the countryside and rearing, breeding and other important improvements through the chain. The financing was secured to assist the company to create local production, sustainable practices for the poorest indigenous communities in the highlands and helping local suppliers to access high-margin export markets. October 2012- March 2013: La Paz, BOLIVIA Danida. Responsible for identification and organisation of 5 Scandinavian companies to participate at UNs International Quinoa Fair in La Paz. Contracted by CABOLQUI (the Bolivian national body for quinoa exports) to identify companies, accompany their trip to La Paz and encourage their investment in Bolivia. Following the fair, 4 of these five companies have pursued partnerships with Bolivian exporters. April 2011- September 2012- BOLIVIA- Danida. CSR Project Director for Llama Shepherd Income Improvement Project for Aymara A/S, a world-renowned and highly CSR-profiled fashion brand. Responsible for sourcing funding from multiple agencies to build a rural facility educating shepherds about breeding, nutrition and market opportunities of selling their llama and alpaca wool both for low end use as well as high-end fibres to the textile industry. Additional focuses on Fair Trade, SA8000 and Global Compact. The direct beneficiaries are more than 200 women working directly in the factories in Bolivia. A further 400 seasonal workers also benefit from increased investments and improved working conditions. Throughout the supply chain, the quantity for llama wool procured in the Bolivian highlands is significantly increased. November 2010- June 2011- NICARAGUA- Danida. Lead CSR Consultant for achieving full Fair Trade and organic certification for Zona Franca Masili in Nicaragua, a womens cooperative of 32 people established by victims of Hurricane Mitch in 1998. Following the project, the cooperative sold only products made with organic cotton. October 2010 January 2012- NEPAL- Danida. Lead Consultant for En Gry og Sif A/S responsible for female empowerment project of 800 women in Nepal making felt products. Centred on the upgrading of facilities corresponding to En Gry og Sifs Fair Trade certification, new job creation for unskilled female workers in Nepal and improvement of working standards. June 2010- USA- Board member representative of Elvang Denmark A/S and En Gry og Sif A/S at the United Nations Global Compact Leaders Summit in New York. January- August 2010 PERU- Lead Consultant for Elvang Denmark A/S responsible for Global Compact Reporting, WFTO Fair Trade certification and communication of rural Andean development project for impoverished

Worked with the Global Compact to integrate GRI indicators for clients as well as AA1000, new Danish CSR legislation and a variety of other CSR-driven initiatives. Furthermore, was the internal consultant responsible for working with Fair Trade (WFTO). Quality Control with CE Certification Based in Kathmandu leading a Danish SME responsible for Fair Trade (WFTO) certification within the handicrafts industry. Ensured companys compliance at all levels with conditions stipulated by WFTO and communicating them to Company Directors and suppliers alike. Activities included drawing up a new Code of Conduct, developing Environmental Management Systems (EMS), liaising with suppliers to ensure compliance, training and travelling in Nepal, helping to establish trade unions and providing guidance on micro-loans. The six suppliers in Nepal employed 800 people. Responsible for employees welfare and communicating to them their rights and opportunities. Was further responsible for all of their work and on-going rapport with Danida regarding B2B and now IPD programmes, for which they received over DKK 2m in financing.
