4. MONITORING OF AIR QUALITY IN AND IN THE VICINITY OF CAMPUS. (DOCUMENTATION OF THE NUMBER OF VEHICLES COMING IN THE CAMPUS AND PARKED OUTSIDE) IN (AUUP).
OBJECTIVE: Monitoring of Air Quality in and around the Amity Campus, Noida METHODOLOGY: A) Per day counting of the number of vehicles entering the campus from different gates. B) State-wise distribution of vehicles reaching the campus (can be judged by registration numbers of the vehicles) C) Calculate the amount of Fuel (by calculating the calorific value of Petrol/Diesel) that is burnt within the campus (due to internal vehicle movement) D) The green cover area of Amity campus (Information to be procured by administration) E) Count the number of trees in the campus. F) Calculate the amount of CO2 that a tree of particular canopy can absorb. (take help of internet for calculation) G) Compare the number of trees present in the campus with those required (as summed up in the calculation) H) Additional questionnaire can be prepared for extra information (like no. of vehicles parked outside; time/season/month at which pollution is at its peak) I) Measures taken-up by the administration for the management of vehicle entry. CONCLUSION: what conclusions the students can draw form the above study.
