Ludovico Einaudi is an Italian pianist and composer. He was born in Turin, Italy and trained as a classical composer and pianist at the Milan coservatorio and before continuing his studies with Luciano Berio (one of the most important composers of the twentieth century). He started his career as a classical composer but then he putted other styles in his songs including pop, rock, world music, and folk music His mother played on the piano to him as a child. His father, Giulio Einaudi, was a publisher working with authors like Italo Calvino and Primo Levi, and his grandfather, Luigi Einaudi, was President of Italy between 1948 and 1955. His mother played on the piano to him as a child. He started composing his own music as a teenager, first writing by playing a folk guitar. He has released a series of albums with sales of over a million copies, sells out the most prestigious concert halls worldwide, composed a string of award-winning film scores and routinely tops audience polls becoming an internet phenomenon. With a kind of music that draws on elements of classical, rock, electronica and world musics he has rendered traditional ideas of genre and audience divide obsolete and become not only one of the best known composers in the world today but almost certainly the best loved too He composed the scores for many movies and trailers including intouchables, I am still here and many others Italian movies. And he has also composed a number of solo albums with piano and orchestra Ludovico einaudi has have attracted an ever growing audience over the last two decades He has released a series of albums with sales of over a million copies he isnt became one of the best known composers in the world today but certainly the best loved for the people

He began his musical training at the Conservatorio Verdi in Milan, gaining a diploma in composition in 1982, in that year he also studied with luciano berio and he won a scholarship Tanglewood Music Festival In 1980s After studying at the Conservatory in Milan he spent many years

composing in traditional forms, including several chamber and orchestral compositions. He soon won international attention and his music was performed at many theaters and festivals like the Teatro alla Scala and the Tanglewood Festival. His music is ambient meditative and often introspective. He started to include his style to made songs for the film soundtracks, he started with two Italian films and for one of them he won the the Grolla d'oro for best soundtrack in 1996 In 2002 he won another Italian award for Best Film Score, He has since either written the scores for a number of films or had his music included in the soundtracks In 2010 his song Nuvole Bianche was featured in the film Insidious and Einaudis Una Mattina and "Fly" were including in the movie intouchables that is the most popular movie in France. The Intouchables he contributed the tracks "Fly", "Writing Poems", "L'origine nascosta", "Cache-cache", "Una Mattina" and "Primavera." The film This Is England featured Fuori dal mondo and Dietro casa. The British TV drama series like this is England. Einaudi is signed to Decca Records and is published by Chester Music Limited He released his first solo piano album, Le Onde, in 1996 on BMG, his next solo piano release, I Giorni (2001), was inspired by his travels in Africa, The solo piano track "I Giorni" has been featured on a BBC. In 2003 He had composed his third album Diario Mali is a collaboration of Einaudi on piano and Malian musician in 2004 he released Una Mattina on Decca records. In October 2009, Nightbook was released it is, according to Einaudi, a record about the transition between light and dark, between the known and unknown. It is a

good metaphor for Einaudis music, a bewitching brew of popular and classical music, made with acoustic piano and subtle electronics, emotional directness and subtle orchestration His newest album, In a Time Lapse, was released on January 21, 2013. The album was also inspired by the drums and electronics of the Whitetree Project, a performing trio Einaudi formed with Robert and Ronald Lippok of To Rococo Rot, a German electronics group. In Italy the album went Gold with more than 35,000 copies sold and the album was conceived and recorded in response to the German painter and sculptor Anselm Kiefer. He currently resides on a vineyard in the Italian region of Piedmont. He has received the OMRI (Order of Merit of the Italian Republic), the senior order of Knighthood bestowed by the Italian Republic. Einaudi has two children, Jessica and Leo.
