Project Redesign
Product Name: Day 1 Target Group: Adults 18-35 Brief History:
The game was created by a couple friends of mine who are avid table-top Role-play gamers themselves. Role-play gaming is not an easy thing to get into- it has no pieces, no real game board, no set way the game is supposed to go, and unlike traditional games, its possible for everyone to lose, or everyone to win. RPGs are fun or not, depending on the creativity of their players, and how they decided to play given how they roll the dice. Knowing that many people think of RPGs as nerd games or geek games, Day 1s creators set out to make a RPG-board game hybrid. The game, based on the current zombie craze, allows players to choose whether they will play the lengthy, RPG style version of the game, or the shorter, easier, and closer to regular board games version of the game. The game is all about surviving the zombie apocalypse, and allows for finding weapons, medicine, hiding places, as well as all sorts of useless or semi-useful items. All of these things can be used at the players discretion, and however their imagination allows them to use it.

Big Idea:

Aside from re-designing their logo, they will need a box for the set made up, as well as the cover for the book (I will not be doing any of the actual artwork related to zombie scenes), and laying out the character sheets. The logo has the words Day 1, and will include the symbols for biohazards, radiation, and a cross, to signify the three types of zombies possible to play with- viral, radiated, and possessed. The box (and all the products) will include the artwork being done, as well as some typical zombie-related signage and artifacts. So far, the designs have been mediocre at best, and clip art shouldnt be used to design logos. The redesign will make the box and book look sleek, dark, and totally zombie. It will shy away from cliche zombie games, but still stand out with bold coloring, and a design. It will make people want to play their own zombie game, and tell their own story.

Style Guide b
The Day 1 Logo should be in the bottom right hand corner of every page of any copy that the game has. If it is the central figure, it should leave room for copy above and below it. When it is at the bottom of a page, it should have at least a 1/4 inch of padding from any surrounding copy, and be about 1.75 inches wide and 1 inch tall.
