ABSTRACT

Muhammad Natsir Husain, Performance Analysis of Infrastructure Services Ferry Bajoe Port of Bone (supervised by M. Yamin Jinca and H. M. Ramli Rahim) This study aims to investigate at: 1) the service performance of port infrastructures according to passenger perception on Bajoe Ferry Port, 2) the passenger growth forecast for the next ten years, to determine wether its still appropriate or balanced with the existing port infrastructure facilities. The study was conducted at the Ferry Port Bajoe of Bone. Data were collected through direct observation. The data were analysed with qualitative and quantitative descriptive measures. The results showed that the service performance value Ferry Bajoe Port Facility which includes the following variables such as docks, vehicle parking and waiting rooms in total according to the perception of the categories of passengers are not good with a total score of 4469. Hence the need to redesign the docks accessibility in order to shorten the distance, to separate lanes for passenger riding with passenger not driving, to set up a free mode of transport for passengers to enter the port terminal, and to set up a special support facilities at the parking lot waiting area, and also to determine the parking patterns with clear parking markers, and accomodate seating facilities on the passenger waiting room. CHECE FAJRIANI HAMSIAR, Performance Analysis of Infrastructure Services Sultan Alauddin street Makassar on the Traffic Volume (supervised by M. Yamin Jinca and Baharuddin Hamzah). This study aims to investigate at 1) the extent to which elements of the road irregularities against norms, standards, guidelines, and design criteria occur; 2) the effects of geometric condition and the Sultan Alauddin road section services on its performance that frequently causes traffic congestions; 3) the efforts to improve the infrastrucrure performance of the road section. The study was carried out to Sultan Alauddin street by direct observation in the field. The data were analysed with qualitative and quantitative descriptive measures. The study reveals that deviation against norms, standars, guidelines, and planning criteria in several elements of Sultan Alauddin road section which inflict traffic volume. Therefore, there should be some inprovements on the road infrastructure not only on its elemens but also no other means i.e. flyover, roundabouts, and subways.
