Pseudo Christians Short Story: Watch Your Back Why Wont They Play My Music? Been A Long Time Coming: A.G. Cover Story

Pseudo Christians? What Are They Talking About Now?

As each day passes, the snakes within the government expose who they really are...and many of them say they're Christians, Catholic's or follow Christ. The PR stunts of Bibles under arms are something MANY do, just weekly going to churches across this nation, let alone the world. The sad truth is, most third world nations have more truth in following Jesus, than American's have in a long, long time. Unfortunately, this value has followed our so called 'leadership' within many areas of government, federal and state, and some of those 'representatives' have clearly shown, they really mock God, mock the Bible and mock Christian's, in their actions against God. Now, I realize she has said many ignorant things like, "I really love the Word." I think it is so important we realize this question she answered, came from And that Word is, we have to give voice to what that means in terms of public policy that would be in keeping with the values of the Word. The Word. Isnt it a beautiful word when you think of it? It just covers everything.
And thats what makes Elevation church a cult is a false teacher. Instead of 6 renouncing underhanded manipulative methods, The World has wholly embraced them becoming, in doing so, a false teacher and the leader of a cult.

Why a cult? Because those who follow in his footsteps are complicit in his manipulations. And those who serve as plants in his so called services are little more than pretenders and, accordingly, deceivers. Elevation is also a cult. I hope the people attending this cult realize what is going on and either demand change or get out. Although not being the optimistic sort when it comes to human behavior, I doubt either will happen.

... they really mock God, mock the Bible and mock Christian's, in their actions against God.

Why Wont The DJ Play My Song?

In the competitive world of music, the DJ is the gatekeeper between your music getting heard in just YOUR car or in every club in the world! Many artist believe that DJs are very one-sided when it comes to playing indie music. That may be the case for some, but here are confessions from various DJS on why your music is not being selected for rotation
DJ BIGGA RANKIN @BIGGARANKIN (Legendary Florida DJ & Cool Running DJs/Diamond Awards CEO) Artist dont understand that it takes money to make money Translation: This is a touchy but true statement. In this music game if you have dont have somewhat of a budget, you are in for a mess. For a DJ to take his time to listen to your song, upload it, put it online/mixtapes etc & also PROMOTING YOU OVER & OVER for free is nuts! The fact dont he doesnt ask for money all the time is truly because they want to break new music, but as the saying goes Nothing is Free Forever Just think if you ask money to perform, DJs will ask for money for promo. JR The DJ @DJJR (Z93 Jamz MixShow DJ) Walterboro,SC The reason why I dont is because If I dont see a drive in the artist, its pointless. you can tell by their music Translation: In this world of music, many indie artist feel in their heads they are already a star, or they are just in the music game because they have money, music is a business and so I being a DJ. Take pride in your music and presentation because you will need to show the DJ worth playing than vice versa DJ Dolla @DJDOLLA (Club DJ with E93 Jamz) Savannah,GA Most artist sound like what im already playing so whats the point Translation: This is where alot of artist get confused, many artist think that if they make songs or sound like a popular artist people will accept them more. This is A Big Mistake! As much as people & music labels like the same ole music, they are always willing to try new music. Be Yourself! You cant get noticed by being another Rich Homie,Chief Keef, Future, Lil Wayne, etc. BECAUSE THEY ALREADY EXIST! DJ Hugga B (Award-Winning Club DJ) Charleston,SC If your music promotes violence or demeaning nature, I refuse to play it Translation: Ok. This is a statement that needed to be said. As a DJ they can to give a crowd to please, and if your music is killing the crowd with Shoot Em Up! BANG BANG! MOLLY MOLLY! TRAP TRAP! You dont have to tell how many people you shot or your everyday trap life or how many girls u had on a molly to prove your realness. Always think from a business/marketable mindset because you dont want to rap for free forever.

HEADPHONES: Carolina Progect

Geechee One: Tell us what you have been doing to proclaim yourself as the "Voice of the Carolinas? Carolina Progect: Far as proclaiming myself as the voice of the Carolinas, I'm going to leave it for the Carolinas to decide after my mixtape "Carolina Pride" drops. Not trying to be cocky, but I am just confident about my music. Geechee One: Being that you were born and raised in Walterboro, South Carolina, do you feel that your city plays a strong part in the whole South Carolina music industry? Carolina Progect: My city has a lot to prove in the hip hop scene for the state. We get looked over since we're in the country, but we have a lot of talent in our city. So I can say yes, we are about to play a BIG role. Geechee One: What made you decide to start your rapping career at the age of 13? Carolina Progect: My main reason I started rapping at the age of 13 is because my big brother was rapping, and I look up to him still to this day. So I thank God for him. I just want to be like him so I started writing even when no one took me serious. I just stayed with it and mastered my craft. Now there's nothing that can stop me. Geechee One: Tell us about your first mixtape. How many units did you sell? What do you feel that that project was missing if it was missing anything? Carolina Progect: My first mixtape was titled "You Gotta Feel Me". I didn't sell any

units. I felt like people have to hear you before they purchase anything from you, so I just put it out there as a demo. If you wanna call it that. The biggest thing that was missing on that mixtape was promotion. My label was just getting off the ground and we didn't promote the mixtape like we should have. Geechee One: Tell us a little about the story behind Carolina Project. The struggle? Your greatest accomplishment? Carolina Progect: Man I've been through so much. My struggle started when I was a kid with momma

13

Excuse my language, but HELL NO! I love my city and state. That's what made me. I'm nothing without South Carolina. I have too much Carolina pride. I will never turn my back on my people, NEVER! Geechee One:What do you feel is the biggest thing that Carolina Progect brings to the table? Carolina Progect: Pain, struggle, real life music. I have been raised by the streets, and I learned from the streets. I even had to sleep in the streets at times. and I lost love ones in these streets. I just want to touch people from all different angles with my music. Geechee One: Tell us about your upcoming project. Carolina Progect: "Carolina Pride," I feel is my best tape so far. You can be going through anything in your day slap that "Carolina Pride" in, and it will help you get through it. Life is all about emotions, and I express them through my tracks. You might be going through something. I got music to help you get through it. You feel like partying? I got music for you. If you on your grind in any kind of way I got music for you. I'm giving you the ins and outs of South Carolina. working two jobs. Sometimes she couldn't pay the light bill, hungry nights, just struggling period. Me and my brothers refused to struggle like that. There are too many people depending on me so I have to make it out. My biggest accomplishment was when I got a promotion deal with Universal back in 06 when I was a part of the rap group New Breed, but that didn't work out. Geechee One: What other artists have you worked with from the South? Carolina Progect: No one really. I know networking and collaborating is a great look. I'm just trying to stamp my name out here get my label headed in the right direction, but there will definitely be some hot music from me and some big names in South Carolina. Geechee One: If you were to get a deal today and were told that you couldn't rep where you were from, would you take it? Carolina Progect: If a label offered to sign me today and I couldn't rep where I'm from will I sign? Geechee One: We hear that your songs, "1 Hunnit" and a few others are making noise. Tell us the concept and the direction of that? Carolina Progect: With my single, "1 Hunnit", I just wanted to let the dudes know that there are females out there that keep it 1 hunnit, and wanted to let the females know that us dudes who keep it 1 hunnit appreciate you. "Entourage" my other hit single is simple. You can just be riding with your friends thats an entourage. When you hit the club with your people, thats an entourage. You chilling in your neighborhood with your fam, thats an entourage. Geechee One: What's the one thing you love about living in the South? Carolina Progect: The culture, the love, the country. Theres nothing like the Carolinas! Even when I was a kid struggling I NEVER thought twice about leaving. Still to this day I walk outside and take a breather and just think how it feels good to live and die in South Carolina.

HEADPHONES: Suge Da Nasty Boy

I started out on the Sun Beam choir at the age of 4, and then went on to the Young Adult Choir, and then to the Mass Choir singing lead. Geechee One: Are you still singing in the choir? Suge Da Nasty Boy: I'm no longer singing in the choir, but I am still well known for playing the drums all over Charleston. Geechee One: What made you decided to do R&B music? Suge Da Nast Boy: One day while I was in high school, my homeboy Michael Brown, who has the popular choir FOCUS, was playing the piano and

I will never forget, but I'm trying to be way bigger than any hood star.

Suge Da Nasty Boy: My music is for women, but it appeals to everybody. Geechee One: Tell us about your current project, "R&B of the Chuck: What You Should Have Said Volume 1." I heard it was going to be released under another title earlier. Suge Da Nasty Boy: It was suppose to be called, "The Kellz of the Chuck", but I didn't want to get into any copyright infringement. So I changed it to R&B of theChuck. Geechee One:What can you say is giving you the biggest buzz off the project?

HEADPHONES: MAG
Q. What does M.A.G stand for? A. The name really doesn't stand for anything. It came from a nickname given to me by an old friend when I was 14 yrs. old. When we would try to talk to girls, we would our nickname instead of our real names. Over the course of time, the name stuck with everyone and that's where it came from. Q. What influenced you to start rapping at 14? A. T.I., 2 Chainz, at that time known as (Tity Boi), 3 6 Mafia, Pastor Troy, and Lil Wayne were my biggest influences. I have always been fascinated by how they could take what was in their head, as well as using their lifestyle to transform it to the music they created. I always had a desire to do it, but didn't know where to start, until my friends and I decided we wanted to try and record something. We found a program on my computer, found a beat and started writing our own songs. The more I wrote, the better I got. So I learned that if I keep working on my writing, sooner or later I would be able to perfect my craft. Q. Describe M.A.G's style for those who don't know: A. My style of music is more of a universal style. With my style, or flow, I'm able to write two different genres of music. I'm currently working with a rock n roll track and later I'll be working with a pop track, mixed with hip hop and R&B. The benefit of working with different genres is it keeps me from fitting in a box. Q. What made you decide to call your upcoming project "Animal Planet"? A. This is me presenting myself to the world by showing this is where I belong, and what I bring to the table. I'm a beast at what I do because I work hard at learning my craft so that I'm able to be the best I can. I believe I was born to do this, and I want people to see who MAG really is music? A. Most people think that all Charleston artists are what they call trap artists. However, that's not true at all. I'm not gonna try to make myself fit into a style of music that I know I don't belong in, just to fit in. The music I make is more metaphorical. You may think I'm rapping about one thing, but I'm really relating it to something else. For example, one of the songs on my mixtape is called

"Addiction." When most people hear the word addiction, they automatically think drugs, alcohol, or something negative. When I talk about addiction, I'm talking about my addiction to music. The pencil is the needle that injects the music through my veins. I'm always trying to think outside the box that is Charleston because I want my music to reach beyond Charleston. I'm not gonna allow where I live to determine how far I can go. Wherever my music takes me I will represent my city because that's where I'm from and that's my foundation. Q. What are your hit songs that you feel we need to be looking for on that project? A. "Gotta Get It', "All You Need" Featuring Josiah, and "Get Rowdy" featuring Jigga, Rozay, and Myq kipsy.

Promotions Worldwide: Lets get to know the man behind SSE GangTJ Turmon
Are you the mastermind behind the SSE Gang? I'm indeed...I'm the owner of SouthStarr Entertainment and Manager of SSE Gang. For those who don't know can you briefly tell us the breakdown of the SSE Gang? Well, to be exact, SSE Gang is not a group by any means. It's simply a combination of artist whom I represent who work collectively together on a record...more like an "in-house" feature. When a lot of people think of the SSE Gang the first person in mind is Rolla. Why do you think that is and what are you goals to get the rest of the members a bigger individual buzz? Well, the reason why the first person that comes to mind is Rolla is because of his own personal involvement in the promotion of the movement. When people constantly see you out with your promotion team or at various events, shows conferences etc they tend to visualize that which they've come to know. As far as for the rest of the members of SSE Gang, we're in the process of releasing a new single soon that will set the tone yet once again for us collectively. As for TJ youre well known throughout the Carolinas for promotions and producing. Which one do you feel you do better? Honestly, I think that I'm a great deal better at production vs. promotions. The reason being is because I've have a great deal more experience in that realm. Over time, I've developed a system for promoting as well, therefore I tend to utilize them both to maximize our effectiveness.

To be a good producer you have to love music. Tell us how or when you knew that you had the passion for music? I definitely agree, to be a good producer one has to love music. I discovered my passion for the art around the age of five, when Michael Jackson had everybody wanting to rock zipper jackets and break-dancing was cool. Ever tried to dance or sing? Actually, that's how I became seriously involved in the music scene. I use to rap and sing in high school. Once I entered the military, I became more engulfed in all of the aspects behind the scene.

Tell us about the Augusta music scene. Well, the Augusta music scene is just like the music scene of a lot of other places that I've encountered. There are a great deal of talented individuals looking to make that big break in the industry. Did anyone make it yet be real? Of course there have been individuals who have "made it". The Godfather of Soul himself, the late and honorable James Brown has become a legend in the music industry nationally and abroad. As a producer when a artist walks in to your studio would you tell them that you feel they have the gift if you feel they do or if they had no potential would you tell them? To me, everyone has potential, some more than others. I'm not going to sit and say that I like everything that everyone puts out but, and opinion is just that...an opinion. What can you say is your biggest hit to date? I think that my biggest hit to date would be "No Drawz". The record is still moving in areas that we would have never imagined.

BEEN A LONG TIME COMING

Geechee One sat down with Charlestons own A.G. a native to 263 records to discuss his history in the rap game and to learn more about his future plans

Background Info: Artist name: A.G.1 half of the legendary rap duo, Down n Dirty with 263 Records. How long have you been an artist: 16 years Location: Charleston, SC Project: A Hustla's Dream Vol 1: The Beginning EP Geechee One: First off for those who don't know you, tell our readers a little about yourself. A.G: Well first off, my name is AG. Some of yall might know me as Aggie, but its just me no gimmicks no nothingjust me. I was locked up in the FEDS in 2002, and I just came home not too long ago. I have been a part of and made history in Charleston with 263 records. I have been on many songs that broke barriers and are today considered Chucktown Classics. I mean what else can I sayI back in ya!! Geechee One: As a rap artist from the streets, can you tell us what your music is bringing back to the streets?

A.G.: I create real music about real things that real people out in the streets know is authentic because Im not speaking on things out of an eye of a person that sees these things or whatever. Im speaking on the things that me and my people did out in these streets. I really live that life. Im not just rapping about it. Geechee One: Tell us about your love for the Chuck. A.G.: Born and raised a Geechee Boy!!!! I got it tatted on my back. Need I say more? Geechee One: Heard you are dropping a new project tell us about it. A.G.: Its called A Hustla's Dream Vol1: The Beginning. Its just bringing you up to speed on a lil bit of what u can expect on my album when it drops. I'm taking my time on it cause I got so many songs so Im just recording right now, but I think yall will enjoy it.

Geechee One: What producers and other artists are featured on it? A.G.: I got Jro from Str8 Drop Productions, Twin D from Twin D1st Century Entertainment, BB Slimm, Ray Mass, Dubb Slim, and thats about it right now. But Im still recording so by time this come out, I know there will be more. Geechee One: What is that one hot song off your album that you feel that should be on fire this year? Tell us about the track. A.G.: Its a couple of em on there that I think will be hot this year, but the 1st one is my first single called "Finally I Free". Its basically talking about being out of prison and back at this music ya know. Geechee One: Being a Geechee Boy, describe your style and what makes you different? A.G.: Just me alone is different. I dont like to follow est sed est. trends. I like to make my own. Like a lot of people want to fit in and to do what everybody else is doing to try to get on or get recognition because thats whats hot and popular to the masses right now. But thats not being real to yourself and thats not me. Im just being me and being real to what I believe and cause thats how much I believe in myself. I believe that by just being me and making good music on top of that will get me where I need to be. And thats what makes me different, cause Im really just being myself. Geechee One: What made you decide that being a rapper was your passion? Any mentors or people that came to you and told you that you were hot? A.G.:I bet a lot of yall don't know that this was a

Vivamus porta

dream of mine since I was a kid, but I never really took it seriously until T Mac, CEO of 263 records, started his record label and really showed me he was serious about this music. Even though we were doing a lot of things with the music back then, it was just fun cause I was young and had some money cause I was in them streets real heavy at the time, but after the fact when I looked back and really saw the response that came from the streets about the musicthat was itI was locked in. Geechee One: Do you feel as a Carolina artist it will be difficult to get promotion and love from your own state? A.G.: I don't think so, cause you got to think, here in South Carolina, we got one of the hardest markets to please, and I believe that if you can please our people down here, you bout to do something real big cause we are very hard on music. I say all that to say that, the buzz I'm getting right now in the Chuck and in other cities like Columbia, and Orangeburg, I think that it'll be big for the state. We have a limited amount of female artists. I think they all should grind harder and get more music out. Our female artist are just as talented. I would like to see female artists on more features with some of our male artists. I know one thing that really gets you is Liars. Tell us the worst lie you ever heard. The worst 3 lies that have been told to me is: I don't lie, I'm single and I never cheated. In today's society every time you turn on the tv all you see is everyone accepting the position as the side chick. Would you accept this position? Side chick... Side line... what ever society calls it nowadays... I will never accept being a side chick. I will never allow myself to be a number 1 either. Todays False Ideologies of Both Major By: Dr. Kenneth Love and Indie Artists
Though the title of this article readily explains what it is about, I would like to open it with a personal experience personal to the point that the subject of this opening paragraph is my cousin, but not just any cousin. He is, otherwise, a Hollywood actor who has appeared as a major guest star for hour-long dramatic television series, made numerous guest appearances on comedy sitcoms, has appeared in major blockbuster films, and the list goes on and on and on. He is also a formidable stage actor. And if you are an avid television viewer or a major film buff, I cannot only assure you, but I can GUARANTEE that you have seen him, as he was a prominent celluloid fixture from the mid-1980s to the early 2000s. In short, the video screen couldnt get enough of him and his presence. Theretheres the opening set-up. Since my cousin is also formally educated in theatrical arts and, until recently, spent over twenty-five years in Hollywood, during one of our conversations, I inquired if he ever considered writing or directing, as this is a natural segue in the interest of survival and competitiveness for many actors when demand for their acting skills, for whatever reason, begins to wane. His response was along the line of, No, Kenny, Im an actorI prefer to leave the writing to YOU guys. Some

; Lorem Ipsum Dolor time later, surprisingly, he decided to relocate from Hollywood at quite a distance to the South, with his proclaiming that the South is the new Hollywood. The sad part is that since Im not in the Film industry in a major way, he believes I believe his reason for relocation. For the record, pardon the pun, I dont believe itat least, not wholeheartedly, as I feel that 99% of his reason for relocation was a combination of his receiving less roles as well as his need to return to care for extensive family real estate. Ive wanted to reveal to him how Im not buying his story, but why ruin the upcoming family reunion with the distinct possibilities of loud screaming and furniture moving? To be clear, and to utilize an already overly used clich, both action as well as inaction speaks volumes that are louder than words. Similarly to my cousins attempted presentational status to the public, both major and independent musicians and recording artists attempt to hold on to ideologies of yesteryears version of the Music industry albeit quite differently in their reasoning in their ongoing pursuit of maintaining relevance of their careers within the Music industry. MAJOR ARTISTS Firstly, lets look at how major-label artists attempt to present and maintain their false ideologies. Major artists attempt to maintain a hierarchy level in appearance to both their public audience as well as to their competing independent artists in their effort to thwart what has now become a social reality. As an example, when visiting I watched the words come out of singer/dancer Beyonces own mouth (clearly, one of the biggest-selling and most popular artists of all time) when she herself revealed the fact that CDs (compact discs) are not only selling slowly, but lowly, and are on their way outpermanently. While this fact has been tossed around now for several years by music industry corporate types, music

Spring 2016 most major label artists social network pages, I have found that directly friending or connecting with them is not possible or is disallowed. However, they are readily accepting of as many likes as their pages can receive and hold. Again, this gatekeeping act is from a page straight out of the past old school playbook of doing things in the Entertainment industry at large, whereby, the general public had very limited access to entertainers. However, the wise ones among this particular crop of todays musicians and recording artists readily understand that the Music industry has evolved, is evolving, and will continue to evolve in the future. And if artists are to continue maintaining both relevance and presence, they will, indeed, need to graduate from Old School in this particular aspect. And to graduate from this particular aspect of the Old School mindset, they will also need to first pass the Deceit Unwarranted 101 course before receiving their proverbial diploma, whereby, they continue to pretend they are selling millions upon millions of compact discs weekly, as opposed to, in reality, their only selling simple downloads in their effort to convince (translated hoodwink) the public at large.

; Lorem Ipsum Dolor journalists, music talking heads, etc. and while largely ignored by artists, Beyonces revelation as a compelling major artist did my business heart good to hear it from someone of her immense stature. INDEPENDENT ARTISTS Secondly, lets visit how independent artists also attempt to present, maintain, and hold on to their false ideologies, if only to and for themselves. A handful, believe it or not, still believes in the bygone era of the now broken down and, practically nonexistent major label system, and is ever actively still pursuing it. Again, unbelievable. The remaining majority, however, has allowed itself to be fooled by the online presence affectionately known as the Internet. As opposed to seeking professional business assistance in the forms of promoters and publicists to help market, promote, publicize, and advertise their music, independent artists have falsely ideologized that they can save a ton of money by doing it all themselves, which could not be further from the truth. Again, the old adage, Action or inaction speaks louder than words, rears its ugly head once again to force them to quickly realize that not only does their attempted do-it-yourself approach now requires a lot of additional work for which they had not planned or self-educated, but their embarking on the D-I-Y execution also requires a lot of different types of efforts that must be executed simultaneously for both effectiveness and success. Additionally, they are forced to face, yet, another staunch reality...that the Internet does not readily extend its do-it-yourself cultural courtesy to artists. When delving in proverbial Spring 2016 unchartered business waters of the Music industry, independents are, eventually, forced into accepting that they are proverbial fish swimming upstream and against the grain, particularly, on national and international geographical levels and scale. As with major artists, wise independent artists will elect to seek out professional promoters and publicists who are familiar with the aforementioned areas of the Music industry in which artists are not. In summary, false ideologies are counterproductive to anyone who chooses to embrace them and forego truth, but especially to creative artists. Because in the end, while creative art can be and is often enjoyable and pleasurable, it does not fall in most categories of need in the interest of public consumption, whether physically or psychologically. Creative art is not a life-saving product, service, or resource that the public must have in order to survive. And any artist who chooses to become and remain encased in the false ideology bubble of creative art will, at some point and assuredly, experience firsthand, its burst.

ASK CHIINA
Advice Column

Dear Chiina, My boyfriend is getting on my last nerve. He texts me all day, and when he isnt texting he is calling. At first I thought it was sweet, but now its starting to be annoying. I told him that I wanted space but all that does it start fights with us. Help Me. Ms. Bugga Boo Dear Ms. Bugga Boo, Damnnnnn what you done did to that man!!?? Well for one thing be happy that your man has not changed during your relationship because most men stop doing the things that they once did at the beginning. On another note that can become quite annoying after a while. At some point you have to let him know that he is really starting to irritate you to the point that you are having second thoughts about your relationship. Advise him that space is a necessity, and if he can't respect your space then he's going to lose your love. Nobody likes that clingy stuff anymore. You love the fact that he's thinking of you, but you can't miss him if youre constantly in contact with him. If he can't give you your space keep it pushing no need to be unhappy in a relationship. You can be unhappy on your own. Good luck love!!!
