Basic competencies
1. Prepare the students to tourism industry This is better for us to understand and know the history. As tourism sectors merge, employers are looking for people with cross-industry training and knowledge. Many course curriculums are now emphasizing the need for multiskilled graduates who possess transferable skills, like presentation, communication and analytical understanding. Tourism employers may also want their employees to possess industry certifications or other additional training. 2. Practice Career Professionalism Achieving competence in practice career professionalism and integrate personal objectives with organizational goals. Career Professionalism is important for many reasons. Time spent accommodating a colleague's prickly ego or ever changing moods is time taken away from working toward a common goal. Practice in work place communication One of the key foundations of any successful workplace is being able to communicate effectively. It can help people receive and share information better, define and understand goals, and even avoid the negative effects of conflict and confusion. Studies also show that good communication can build rapport, enhance relationships, promote self-confidence and have a positive overall effect on the working environment with a little effort and attention. You can learn how to relay and reinforce the importance of what you want to say, and encourage productive feedback from others. Once you begin practicing the basics of good communication, you'll quickly witness its positive effects and rewards on your working day.

4. Work in a term environment The term work environment is used to describe the surrounding conditions in which an employee operates. The work environment can be composed of physical conditions, such as office temperature, or equipment, such as personal computers. It can also be related to factors such as work processes or procedures. The work environment can involve the social interactions at the workplace, including interactions with peers, subordinates, and managers. Generally, and within limits, employees are entitled to a work environment that is free from harassment. A hostile work environment exists when unwelcome sexual conduct interferes with an employee's job performance, or creates a hostile, intimidating, or offensive work environment. The term work environment can also be associated with the physical condition of the building. Healthy work environments will be free from problems associated with sick building syndrome, which is often due to poor ventilation or offgassing of chemicals used during construction. The accumulation of molds and mildew may also lead to sick building syndrome.

To satisfy customers needs and wants, you should meet their expectations, if not exceed them. Customer Retention Treat customers as kings and queens. You dont have to pamper them. but show them theyre important and that they are needed. Update them with the latest in your businessremind them of an upcoming sale or send them personalized newsletters. Maintain Good Reputation Maintaining a good reputation for your brand is essential to become successful in the business since consumers buy experiences only from reputable brand names. Customers do research about companies and the controversies they have encountered. A brand with bad reputation normally doesnt make it big and even established names in the business can suffer from a damaged image.
