Things to bear in %ind be(ore you try this: it takes ages to %ake the cords& and it takes ages to attach the%. The other %a+or disadvantage o( using this techniHue is that you have to get the length o( the cord correct be(ore you attach it to your pony - you can't cut the% to length a(ter#ards& because the cords #ould +ust unravel.

,-./0803: Thanks to Miek (or pointing %e in the direction o( this& #hich is pretty %uch the techniHue belo#& and has pictures. 454!

>ut a length o( yarn appro:i%ately 7 ti%es the length you #ant your (inished cord to be.

Tie a slip knot in the centre& so the ends are even.

Then you take the end that you D@?'T pull on to tighten the loop& and dra# a loop o( it up through the loop o( the slip knot. Then you pull the slip knot tight.

Then take the end you +ust used to pull the slip knot tight& pull a loop o( that up through the loop you +ust created& then use the other end to

pull that loop tight.

Ieep repeating this& alternating #hich end you use to pull up a ne# loop& until your cord is long enough.

Dhen you're done& pull both ends entirely through the loop you only need to pull one end through to secure the cord& but both gives you a neater end!& and pull the loop tight. Do ?@T cut the ends at this point1

Position your cord on your pony& and use a curved& (or pre(erence! needle to dra# @?) o( the ends through the (abric o( the pony& then knot the ends together using a ree( knot.

*se a needle to dra# A@T; ends back into the pony's body. $( you're care(ul& you should be able to pull the knot through to the inside& so it's hidden.

>urly Mane and Tail - >rocheted. $t looks like this:

This also takes Huite a #hile to %ake& and can't be cut to length a(ter#ards& but is it a lot easier to attach1
